Scotland/Menno/Freeman/Canistota 19, Tabor 0 (5 innings)

PLATTE — Riley Tschetter’s nine-RBI game powered Scotland/Menno/Freeman/Canistota to the Region 4B championship Thursday.

Tschetter batted 4-for-4 with a homer and nine RBIs in the win. Evan Scharberg and Luke Peters each tallied three hits and two RBIs, including a double from peters and a triple from Scharberg, Bryce Sattler tallied a hit, walk and an RBI, Kory Keppen drove in a run on two walks, Rocky Ammann added a two-run homer while Trent Guthmiller collected an RBI single in the win as well. Sattler earned the victory on the mound in five shutout innings, allowing two hits and a walk while striking out three.

For Tabor, Isaiah Crownover allowed seven runs on four hits and three walks in two innings to take the loss. Cale Cooper and Crownover each had a hit in the loss.


Winner/Colome 6, Belle Fourche 1

GREGORY — Ryder Halligan tossed a complete game on the mound as Winner/Colome captured the Region 7B championship Thursday over Belle Fourche.

Haligan gave up just one run on four hits and a walk in seven innings, striking out five. Offensively, Aiden Schroeder drove in two runs on one hit, Halligan added two hits, Gavin Risse drove in a run on two hits, Isaiah Olson had an RBI on a hit and a walk while Jackson Eisemann tallied an RBI on a walk in the win.

For BF, Tate Thomsen had two hits while Trig Thomsen drove in a run. Daven Kracht allowed five runs on five hits and three walks in three innings in the loss.


Parkston 8, Alexandria 4

SALEM — A five-run first inning guided Parkston to the Region 5B championship over Alexandria Thursday.

Kash Neugebauer and Taite Klumb each drove in two runs on two hits, including a triple from Neugebauer, Mason Jervik tallied an RBI on one hit, Kolter Kramer drove in a run while Carter Sommer had two RBIs on a triple and a walk in the win. Neugebauer earned the win on the mound in six innings, allowing four runs on eight hits and a walk, striking out eight.

For Alexandria, Weston Kayser allowed five runs on three hits and three walks in 0.2 innings of his start to take the loss. AJ Wilber had two hits, a double, and two RBIs, Carter Popp collected two hits, a double and an RBI while Esten Schlimgen, Ben WIlber, Tyler Sanderson and Carter Endorf each recorded a hit in the loss.


Dell Rapids 7, Volga 1

DELL RAPIDS — Drake Eastman drove in four runs and recorded 13 strikeouts as Dell Rapids claimed a spot in the Class B state tournament Thursday.

Eastman batted 3-for-4 with a double, triple and four RBIs, while tossing four innings for the win on the mound, allowing one unearned run on four hits and four walks, striking out 13. Talan Millage drove in a run on two hits, Kenny Swanson added an RBI on a double and a walk, Lincoln Fersdahl recorded two hits and a walk while Tad Tjaden had an RBI walk in the win.

For Volga, Braden Danzeisen allowed six runs on seven hits and five walks in five innings, striking out three. Isaac Skovlund drove in a run on one hit in the loss for Volga.


Dakota Valley 10, Lennox 1

VERMILLION — Noah Graham struck out eight batters as Dakota Valley claimed the Region 3B championship Thursday over Lennox.

Graham allowed just one run on five hits and two walks in seven strong innings, fanning eight Lennox batters in the win. Jacke Wiese had two hits, a double, and two RBIs, Tate Cornelsen and Grady Ramos each drove in a run on two hits, a double and a walk, Vincent Hoffman recorded two RBIs on a double, Jack Jones tallied two RBIs on a hit and a walk while Jackson Shoulders and Sterling Schauff each had a hit and a walk in the win.

For Lennox, Nate Haar allowed two runs on four hits and four walks in 5.2 innings, striking out two in the losing effort. Cole Spieler had an RBI on one hit while Dayne Moeller netted two hits in the loss.


Groton 6, Big Stone City 1

SISSETON — Jarret Erdmann’s complete game on the mound lifted Groton to a Region 1B win over Big Stone City Thursday.

Erdmann allowed one run on seven hits and four walks in seven innings of work, striking out six in the victory. Gavin Englund and Nick Morris each tallied two RBIs on one hit, Alex Abeln had three hits while Korbin Kucker and Brevin Fliehs each had two hits in the win, including two doubles from Fliehs.

For BSC, Isaac Brown allowed six runs on 10 hits in six innings pitched, striking out five in the loss. Connor Ohm had an RBI on a hit and a walk in the loss as well.

Groton will play Sisseton in the Region 1B championship game Friday.


Sisseton 2, Webster 0

SISSETON — Bradley Hansen tossed 10 strikeouts as Sisseton blanked Webster in a Region 1B elimination game Thursday.

Hansen gave up just three hits and a walk in a seven inning shutout, striking out 10 to take the win. Max Dahlen and LJ Crooks each drove in a run while Rory Current had two hits, one double, in the win.

For Webster, Jack Shoemaker allowed two runs on seven hits and two walks in six innings pitched, striking out nine. Blaize Amdahl, Ian Lesnar and Martin Dorsett each had a hit in the loss.


Sisseton 4, Big Stone City 3

SISSETON — Sisseton clipped Big Stone City to advance to the Region 1B championship game Thursday.

LJ Crooks drove in a run on two hits, Hughin Current had an RBI on one hit, Rylan Anderson drove in a pair of runs on a single while Levi Nelson recorded two hits and a walk in the win. Carter Stickland took the win on the mound in six innings, allowing three runs on seven hits and a walk, striking out three.

For BSC, Kirby Olson took the loss, surrendering four unearned runs on seven hits and a walk in five innings, striking out one. Connor Danielson had an RBI double while Cadyn Vanderwal drove in a run on one hit in the loss.

Sisseton will play Groton in the Region 1B championship game Friday.


Clark/Willow Lake 4, Lake Norden/Badger 2 (8 innings)

CLARK — A four-run eighth inning broke the scoreless tie as Clark/Willow Lake advanced to the Region 6B championship Thursday.

Watson Grantham tallied two RBIs on a hit, Damian Severson had an RBI while Tyson Huber tallied two hits, one double, in the win. Cooper Pommer took the win in 2.1 innings of relief, allowing two runs on three hits and two walks, striking out three. Grantham tossed the first 5.2 innings for CWL, allowing one hit and three walks while tossing nine strikeouts.

For LNB, Rylan Thue allowed four runs on one hit and two walks in 0.2 innings to take the loss. Dawson Noem threw the first 7.1 innings, allowing just two hits and a walk while fanning 13 CWL batters. Caleb Drenth tallied an RBI single, Riggs Prouty had an RBI while Turner Stevenson had two hits, one double, and a walk in the loss.

CWL will face Lake Norden/Badger in the Region 6B championship game Friday.


Warner/Ipswich/Northville 20, Redfield 5

CLARK — Warner/Ipswich/Northville pounded out 17 hits as it pulled away from Redfield in a Region 6B elimination game Thursday.

Jacob Schmitt and Lincoln Kroll each had two RBIs on two hits, Devon Fischbach and Alec Mikkelson each drove in a run on three hits, Mac Heinz had two hits and an RBI, Brayden Kroll collected two RBIs on a hit and a walk, while Xavier Kadlec and Chays Mansfield each totaled an RBI on two hits, combining for three walks in the win. Heinz earned the win on the mound in 1.1 innings, allowing two runs on one hit and one walk.

For Redfield, Hunter Binger allowed five runs on four hits and a walk in 0.1 innings to take the loss. Jackson Rude had two hits,a double, and two RBIs, while Tate Bray, Chase Odland and Micah Zastrow each tallied an RBI in the loss.


Lake Norden/Badger 4, Warner/Ipswich/Northville 3

CLARK — Caleb Drenth’s walk-off RBI single lifted Lake Norden/Badger to the Region 6B championship game Thursday.

Drenth finished with an RBI on a hit and a walk along with Kamden Keszler, Ted Smith added two hits and an RBI, Riggs Prouty collected an RBI on one hit as well. Teague Stevenson took the win on the mound in one inning of relief, allowing one run on two hits and a walk in one inning, striking out one.

For Warner/Ipswich/Northville, Devon Fischbach took the loss, surrendering four runs on seven hits and seven walks in 6.1 innings, striking out two. Mac Heinz drove in two runs on a hit and a walk, while Xavier Kadlec recorded an RBI on a hit and a walk in the loss.

LNB will play Groton for the Region 6B championship Friday.
