Harrisburg Gold 6, Rapid City Post 320 5

WATERTOWN — Rylan Boe drew a walk-off walk as Harrisburg Gold clipped Rapid City Post 320 in state tournament action Thursday.

Bryson Esser had three hits and an RBI in the win, Ethan Beek recorded three hits, Eli Kokenge tallied two hits, a double, and an RBI, Noah Boschee had two RBIs on a double, while Michael Oakland and Ty Raymond each had a hit in the win. Kade Wede tossed four innings in the win for Harrisburg, allowing one unearned run on two hits and six walks, striking out seven.

For Post 320, Noah Wald allowed five runs on 11 hits and four walks in six innings, striking out six. Wald batted 2-for-4 with two RBIs, while Kason Kostenbauer drove in a run on a walk in the loss. Jhett Peterson drew three walks and drove in a run in the loss as well.


Yankton 5, Renner Royals 4 (10 innings)

WATERTOWN — Kael Garry’s RBI single scored the go-ahead run as Yankton eliminated the defending state champions Thursday.

Garry finished with one hit and one RBI in the win, Tate Beste had two RBIs on a hit and a walk, Gavin Johnson recorded an RBI on one hit while Matthew Sheldon totaled two walks and a hit in the win. Beste earned the victory on the mound in 4.2 innings of relief, allowing just two hits and three walks, striking out three.

For Renner, Parker Scheidt allowed one run on four hits and three walks in 7.1 innings, striking out two. Brody Jacobson drove in two runs on two hits and two walks, Rylan Arbogast had two hits, one double, Sam Donohoe had an RBI single while Zach Sprenkle added two hits in the loss as well.


Rapid City Post 22 14, Watertown 4

WATERTOWN — Lars Kieffer drove in six runs as Rapid City Post 22 eliminated Watertown from the state tournament Thursday.

Kieffer batted 3-for-4 with a double and a homer, driving in six runs in the win. Aiden Roberts had four hits, including three doubles and three RBIs, Blayn Hunt recorded two hits and two RBIs, Wyatt Reeder recorded an RBI on two walks while Jace Morgan tallied three hits and a walk in the win. McCoy Rippentrop took the win on the mound in 5.2 innings, allowing two hits and four walks, striking out six.

For Watertown, Jackson McClemens allowed six runs on seven hits and a walk in 1.1 innings, striking out one. Hayden Ries had an RBI on one hit and two walks, Mitch Olson drove in a run on two walks while Cole Hansen added an RBI on a walk in the loss.
