Games to Watch

July 7: Redfield Dairy Queen (11-0) at Groton Locke Electric (3-1)

Redfield has been one of the more under-the-radar teams in amateur baseball this season coming from the Northern Plains League. In June, Redfield outscored opponents 120-35 and look to keep that up against Groton, a team that last played on June 23 and has played just 32 innings of baseball this season.

July 7: Hartford-Humboldt Gamecocks (10-5) at Dell Rapids Mudcats (16-0)

Hartford-Humboldt has hit a slump in its last two outings, dropping league games to Dell Rapids PBR and Madison and are looking to defeat the undefeated in its house. The Mudcats have not lost since last year’s state tournament, even picking up a comeback victory over Class A Sioux Falls Flying Squirrels on June 30.

July 7: Castlewood Ravens (9-4) at Lake Norden Lakers (9-3)

In what could be a future Eastern Dakota League championship game, Castlewood looks to bounce back from a 12-1 loss to the Lakers on June 5. The Ravens will need to limit a Laker offense it allowed 16 hits to last time in order to split the season series.
