Clark Traders 9, Ramona Express 1 (7 innings)

RAMONA — Jay Huber struck out 15 batters as Clark took a game one win over Ramona in Eastern Dakota League action Sunday.

Huber allowed just one run on five hits and a walk in a complete game, striking out 15 in the victory. Andrew Magedanz hit a three-run homer, Jack Heesch tallied two hits and two RBIs, Braedon Zaug tallied three hits and an RBI, Grayson Florey collected three hits while David Grantham and Zach Toben each tallied an RBI on one hit in the win.

For Ramona, Ken Longman allowed nine runs on 14 hits in seven innings, striking out six. Justin Casanova drove in a run on one hit in the loss.


Clark Traders 7, Ramona Express 0 (7 innings)

RAMONA — Jack Heesch struck out 12 batters in a complete game on the mound to sweep Ramona in an Eastern Dakota League double header Sunday.

Heesch gave up just five hits and a walk in a seven inning shutout, striking out 12 in the win. Heesch also batted 4-for-4 with an RBI as well. Braedon Zaug tallied two hits and an RBI, Zach Toben added two hits and two RBIs while Grayson Florey collected three hits in the win.

For Ramona, Kadyn Gehrels allowed seven runs on 11 hits and a walk in four innings, striking out four. Darwin Stewart hit a double while four other players cracked a hit in the loss for Ramona.


Irene Cardinals 10, Crofton (Neb.) Bluejays 2 (7 innings)

CROFTON — Irene pounded out 19 hits as the Cardinals took game one of a double header with Crofton Sunday.

Cole Edberg batted 5-for-5 with a double and two RBIs, Preston Gall and Marcus VanDriel each batted 3-for-3 with an RBI, Jake DeLange, Bryant Knodel and Dustin Livingston each drove in a run on two hits, including a solo home run from Livingston, while Anthony De La Torre Guglielmana drove in two runs on two hits in the win. Livingston took the victory on the mound allowing two unearned runs on five hits and two walks in seven innings, striking out four.

For Crofton, James Kaiser allowed nine runs on 17 hits and a walk in 5.2 innings, striking out seven. Colton Schieffer drove in a run on one hit while Tyler Koch added a double in the loss.


Crofton (Neb.) Bluejays 10, Irene Cardinals 0 (5 innings)

CROFTON — A five-run fourth inning powered Crofton to a mercy rule victory over Irene to split Sunday’s South Central League double header.

Tyler Koch and Zach Hegge each tallied two RBIs on one hit, Jared Wiebelhaus and Andy Knapp each tallied an RBI on one hit while James Kaiser tallied two hits and an RBI in the win. Capp Bengston allowed two hits in three innings, striking out three.

For Irene, Jake DeLange allowed 10 runs on eight hits and three walks in 3.2 innings, striking out four. Alex Kopf and Bryant Knodel each tallied hits in the loss.


Redfield Dairy Queen 5, Northville Merchants 0 (7 innings)

REDFIELD — Peyton Osborn’s complete game shutout helped Redfield Dairy Queen blank Northville in Northern Plains league action Sunday.

Osborn surrendered just four hits and two walks in a seven inning shutout, striking out three in the win. Owen Osborn drove in a run on two hits, Camden Osborn tallied two RBIs on one hit while Nathan Hainy drove in a run as well.

For Northville, Ashton Remily allowed five runs on three hits and four walks in 3.2 innings, striking out one. Greg Heyne tallied two hits in the loss for the Merchants.


Redfield Dairy Queen 6, Northville Merchants 0 (7 innings)

REDFIELD — Nolan Gall tossed five shutout innings and struck out eight batters as Redfield Dairy Queen swept Northville in Northern Plains League action Sunday.

Gall allowed just one hit and four walks in five shutout innings, striking out eight to earn the victory on the mound. Camden Osborn, Bennett Osborn and Brent Osborn each drove in a run on one hit in the win.

For Northville, Mike Hudson allowed six unearned runs on four hits and two walks in five innings, striking out five. Ethan Beyers tallied a hit in the loss for the Merchants.


Lennox/Chancellor/Worthing Dirt Devils 23, Parker Ringnecks 8 (5 innings)

LENNOX — Wyatt Adam drove in five runs in Lennox/Chancellor/Worthing’s mercy rule win over Parker Sunday.

Adam tallied five RBIs on two home runs, Isaac Bambas and Nathan Kucera each tallied three RBIs on two hits and a walk, Bailey Ludens drove in two runs on two hits, Brad Javers, Levi Parker and Mikey Kocer each tallied three hits and an RBI, including a solo homer from Parker, while Nick Zabel added an RBI on two hits and a walk in the win. Owen Ludens tallied three hits in the win as well.

For Parker, Troy Smith allowed nine runs on nine hits and six walks in three innings, striking out four. Ashton Ross, Tyler Bailiff, Justin Brehmer, Geoff Dunkelberger and Smith each drove in a run in the loss.


Parkston Devil Rays 8, Mount Vernon Mustangs 3 (10 innings)

MOUNT VERNON — A five-run tenth inning lifted Parkston to a Sunshine League victory over Mount Vernon Sunday.

Seth Muth led the Devil Ray offense batting 3-for-4 with a walk, two doubles and two RBIs, Dylan Soulek added two RBIs on a double, homer, and a walk, Landon Sudbeck and Carter Sommer each drove in a run on one hit, Tanner Dyk added two RBIs on a homer and a walk, while Caden Donahue and Ty Neugebauer each tallied two hits in the win. Neuegebauer earned the victory on the mound in three innings of relief, allowing three unearned runs on three hits and a walk, striking out five. Jake Helleloid started the game for Parkston, tossing seven shutout innings with 14 strikeouts.

For MV, Deric Denning took the loss allowing eight runs on 14 hits and four walks in 9.2 innings, striking out seven. Bradley Dean tallied three hits, Chase Hetland had two hits while Eric Giblin drove in a run on a sac-fly in the loss.


Winner/Colome Pheasants 9, Dimock/Emery Raptors 6

EMERY — Aiden Barfuss hit a grand slam as Winner/Colome beat Dimock/Emery in Sunshine League action Sunday.

Barfuss’ one hit drove in four runs on a grand slam in the first inning, Kelly O’Bryan drove in two runs on two hits, including a homer, Oscar Pravacek tallied two hits, including a solo home run, while Drew DeMers added two hits in the win. Patrick Starr took the victory on the mound allowing five runs on eight hits and two walks in seven innings, striking out nine.

For DE, Phil Johnson allowed nine runs on 11 hits and two walks in nine innings, striking out seven. Cole Knippling tallied five RBIs on two home runs and a walk, Chase Arend added two hits, one solo home run, while Drew Kitchens had two hits in the loss.


Alexandria Angels 14, Mitchell Aces 4 (8 innings)

ALEXANDRIA — Jackson Jarding’s two-home run game powered Alexandria to a mercy rule victory over Mitchell Sunday.

Jarding batted 3-for-5 with two home runs and a double, totaling six RBIs in the win. Cole Wenande drove in three runs on two hits, including a walk-off three-run homer, Jacob Giles drove in a run on one hit while Peyton Smith added a double, two walks, and three RBIs as well. Landon Ruesink allowed three runs on four hits and four walks in six innings, striking out eight in the win.
For Mitchell, Peyton Mandel allowed 11 runs on eight hits and seven walks in 4.2 innings. Mandel added three hits and an RBI while Colin Stange tallied an RBI on one hit in the loss as well.


Dell Rapids Mudcats 7, Flandreau Blue Teal 2

DELL RAPIDS — Austin Henry tossed four shutout innings of relief as Dell Rapids defeated Flandreau in Cornbelt League action Sunday.

Henry tossed four perfect innings, striking out nine batters without allowing a baserunner to take the victory on the mound. Ty Hoglund batted 2-for-4 with three RBIs, Reece Arbogast added two hits, Sutton Williams had an RBI on a walk while Chad Hunt tallied an RBI on a single in the win.

For Flandreau, Tristen Peters allowed seven runs on seven hits and three walks in six innings, striking out seven. Tash Lunday tallied the only hit of the game for the Blue Teal, driving in a run, while Emmot Nathan drove in a run as well for Flandreau.


Castlewood Ravens 6, Lake Norden Lakers 4

LAKE NORDEN — Alex Gauer’s 10-strikeout game pushed Castlewood to an Eastern Dakota League victory over Lake Norden Sunday.

Gauer allowed just two hits and four walks in six shutout innings, striking out 10 to take the win on the mound. Nate Phinney led the offense batting 2-for-5 with a double and three RBIs, Blayne Schliesman and Gauer each tallied two hits, Booker Schooley added an RBI walk while Kellen Benck tallied an RBI on a hit and a walk in the win.

For Lake Norden, Christian Rodriguez allowed five runs on five hits and four walks in five innings, striking out five. Jackson Noem and Kale Stevenson each drove in runs in the loss.

 

Freeman Black Sox 14, Tabor Bluebirds 4 (7 innings)

FREEMAN — Jake Weier tallied five hits in Freeman’s mercy rule win over Tabor Sunday in South Central League action.

Weier batted 5-for-5 with two doubles and three RBIs, Avery Mellman drove in two runs on a hit and a walk, Rocky Ammann added three RBIs on two hits and a walk, including a solo homer, Riley Tschetter and Bailey Sage each drove in a run on one hit, Sam Gillespie added an RBI on two hits and a walk while Trey Ortmann drove in two runs in the win. Jackson Fiegen took the victory on the mound allowing four runs on six hits and three walks in six innings, striking out two.

For Tabor, Chase Kortan allowed six runs on seven hits and two walks in four innings pitched. Hunter Hallock drove in a run on two hits, Kortan added two RBIs on a hit while Easton Mudder collected an RBI on one hit in the loss.

 

Renner Monarchs 9, Baltic River Dawgs 1

RENNER — Renner pounded out 10 hits as it defeated Baltic in Sioux Empire League action Sunday.

Dave Bochardt had two RBIs on one hit, Maddux Baggs drove in four runs on two hits and a walk, including a homer, while Chaz Palmer and Adam Durfee each drove in a run on one hit in the win. Jeremiah Mauch earned the victory on the mound in seven shutout innings, striking out 15 batters while allowing just one hit and three walks.

For Baltic, Jon Wilhelmsen allowed nine runs on 10 hits and 11 walks in eight innings, striking out eight in the loss. Tate Fuecht and Brycen Top tallied the only hits of the game for the River Dawgs in the loss.

 

Harrisburg Woodies 12, Brandon Belugas 1 (7 innings)

BRANDON — Two five-run frames lifted Harrisburg to a Sioux Empire League victory over Brandon Sunday.

Kris Regas took the victory on the mound for Harrisburg, allowing one run on five hits and a walk in five innings, striking out nine batters. Offensively, Jack Sutton drove in three runs on two hits, Ryan Menssen, Mark Abrahamson and Nathan Motl each drove in two runs on two hits, Carson Drexler added two RBIs on a triple and a walk, while Tyler Mitzel had two hits and two walks in the win.

For Brandon, Jack Nesje allowed five runs on three hits and six walks in 3.1 innings, striking out three to take the loss. Tyler Sandbulte drove in a run on two hits, one double, while Joe Lund added two hits in the loss.
