Winner/Colome 11, Parkston 9

PARKSTON — Winner/Colome racked up 14 hits en route to an American Legion baseball win on Saturday.

Quincy Phillips finished with three hits and drove in two runs. Isaiah Olson, Landon Calhoon, Dyland Brandis and Ryder Halligan had two hits apiece. Calhoon, Aiden Schroeder, Brandis and Halligan drove in runs. Konner Osborn had a hit. Calhoon earned the win, striking out six batters, allowing seven hits, four earned runs and one walk in four innings.

For Parkston, James Deckert had three of the team’s eight hits. Mason Jervik and Jaxx Kurtenbach had two hits apiece. Kurtenbach and Carter Sommer drove in two runs apiece. Taite Klumb clubbed a home run. Klumb took the loss, allowing eight hits, seven earned runs, three walks and struck out five batters in 3.2 innings. 


Dell Rapids 20, Elk Point-Jefferson 6

ELK POINT — Dell Rapids racked up 21 hits in an American Legion baseball win on Saturday. 

Tad Tjaden finished with five hits and drove in two runs. Connor Hanson had four hits and knocked in two runs. Jackson Peppel added three hits and three RBI. Kenny Swanson went 2-for-4 and drove in three runs, including a home run. Gauge Bunkers posted two hits and two RBI. Drake Eastman added three hits. Cole Ruesink drove in a run. Hanson earned the win, striking out two batters, allowing three earned runs, four hits and two walks in two innings.

For EPJ, Wyatt Herrity and Jace Shatswell had two hits apiece. Shatswell drove in two runs. Keaton Gale, Ethan Bovill, Ashton Fairbanks and Brody Van Roekel each had hits. Gale took the loss, allowing 11 hits, nine earned runs, two walks and struck out five batters in five innings. 


Dell Rapids 9, Elk Point-Jefferson 0

ELK POINT — Dell Rapids’ Tad Tjaden struck out 14 batters in a one-hit shutout in American Legion baseball action on Saturday. 

Tjaden allowed four walks on 103 pitches. Dell Rapids pounded out 15 hits in the win. Tjaden finished with three hits and drove in four runs. Connor Hanson added four hits, while Jackson Peppel posted three hits and knocked in a run. Talan Millage drove in three runs. Drake Eastman had an RBI, while Cole Ruesink had a hit. Kenny Swanson added two hits. 

For EPJ, Luke Swatek had the team’s lone hit. Brody Van Roekel took the loss, allowing 12 hits, five earned runs, zero walks and struck out five batters in 5.1 innings. 


Rapid City Post 22 1, Watertown 0 

WATERTOWN — McCoy Rippentrop struck out six batters as Rapid City Post 22 edged Watertown in a Legion baseball game on Saturday.

Rippentrop allowed three hits and one walk through 6.2 innings. Aiden Roberts, Kain McLeod, Dexter Steen and Blayn Hunt each had hits. Roberts drove in the lone run. 

For Watertown, Kaden Rylance struck out seven batters, allowed four hits, one earned run and three walks in the seven-inning loss. Mitch Olson, Markus Pitkin and Cole Hansen each had hits. 


Rapid City Post 22 7, Watertown 4 

WATERTOWN — Rapid City Post 22 tallied 12 hits during an American Legion win over Watertown on Saturday. 

Wyatt Reeder drove in two runs and finished with four hits. Lars Kieffer and Blayn Hunt finished with two hits apiece. Aiden Roberts, Kain McLeod, Jace Morgan and Dexter Steen each had hits. Morgan drove in a run. Brody Thompson earned the win, striking out six batters, allowing one hit, four walks and zero runs in 3.1 innings.

For Watertown, Nash Berg drove in three runs and Markus Pitkin had three hits. Talan Jurgens took the loss, allowing 12 hits, six earned runs, three walks and struck out one batter in a complete-game loss. 


Harrisburg Gold 11, Byron Post 119 (Minn.) 1 (6 innings) 

NEW ULM, Minn. — Harrisburg Gold tallied 13 hits in an American Legion baseball win on Saturday.

Griffen Schlapkohl had a team-high three hits and Kade Wede drove in three runs on two hits. Michael Oakland hit a two-run homer. Bryson Esser added two hits, while Gabe Long drove in two runs. Taten Munce, Jared Hawthorne, Rylan Boe and Andrew Dierks each had hits. Wede struck out six batters, allowed one hit and one hit through three innings.
