Chadron (Neb.) 12, Hot Springs 0 (4 innings)

HOT SPRINGS — Hot Springs fell to Chadron, Nebraska, in game one of a legion double header Monday.

Jax Tschacher took the loss allowing 12 runs on nine hits and six walks in four innings, striking out five batters. Jaydon Koffler tallied the lone hit of the game for Hot Springs.


Chadron (Neb.) 14, Hot Springs 1 (4 innings)

HOT SPRINGS — Hot Springs was swept in a legion double header Monday against Chadron, Nebraska.

Jaydon Koffler took the loss allowing 14 runs on 11 hits and seven walks in four innings, striking out five. Devon Busch drove in a run while Koffler and Brant Person each drew a walk in the loss.


Groton 2, Warner/Ipswich/Northville 1

NORTHVILLE — Groton outlasted Warner/Ipswich/Northville in legion baseball action Monday.

Nick Morris took the victory on the mound, allowing one run on three hits and a walk in seven innings, striking out two. Braxton Imrie drove in a run on one hit, while Korbin Kucker, Brevin Fliehs, and Jarrett Erdmann each tallied hits in the win.

For WIN, Devon Fischbach allowed two runs on four hits and five walks in seven innings, striking out three. Chays Mansfield, Logan Fischbach and Beckett Halvorson each tallied hits in the loss.


Webster 2, Sisseton 1 (5 innings)

WEBSTER — Blaize Amdahl’s walk-off fielder’s choice lifted Webster to a legion baseball victory over Sisseton Monday.

Carter Williams drove in the other run for Webster while Sheldon Schmeig and Martin Dorsett each tallied hits in the win. Jack Shoemaker took the win on the mound allowing one run on four hits and two walks in five innings, striking out 12 batters.

For Sisseton, Bradley Hansen allowed one run on one hit in his relief outing to take the loss. Levi Nelson and Carter Stickland each tallied two hits while LJ Crooks added two hits, one double, in the loss.


Webster 9, Sisseton 1 (5 innings)

WEBSTER — Max Dahlen drove in three runs as Webster swept Sisseton in a double header Monday.

Dahlen batted 1-for-2 with three RBIs, Bradley Hansen added two RBIs on one hit, Reggie Lincoln tallied three hits, including a triple, while Rylan Anderson drove in a run in the win. Hansen earned the victory on the mound in two shutout innings, striking out two.

For Sisseton, Ian Lesnar allowed nine runs on eight hits and four walks in 4.2 innings, striking out five. Sheldon Schmeig drove in the only run on one hit in the loss.


Madison 9, Volga 0

VOLGA — Quinn Flemming’s seven shutout innings powered Madison to a legion baseball victory over Volga Monday.

Fleming allowed just three hits and two walks in seven shutout innings, fanning four batters. Cohen Hahn drove in two runs on two hits, Cale Johnson added three RBIs on one walk, Casyn Crabtree tallied two hits, one double, and an RBI, Quincy Kurtz tallied an RBI single, while Jordan Pedersen and Tregg McGillivray each tallied two hits in the win.

For Volga, B Danzeisen allowed six runs on six hits and a walk in five innings, striking out four. Isaac Skovlund, Ethan Axtell and Kellon Tucker each tallied a hit in the loss.


Salem 2, Scotland/Menno/Freeman/Canistota 1 (5 innings) 

FREEMAN — Zane McCormick struck out six batters as Salem edged Scotland/Menno/Freeman/Canistota in Legion baseball action on Monday. 

McCormick allowed two hits, one earned run and walked four batters in five innings. He added a hit at the plate. 

Carter Randall drove in a run for Salem, while Shea Klinkhammer and Korbin Shumaker both had hits. 

For SMFC, Easton Miller drove in a run and Tayden Kerrigan had a hit. Evan Scharberg took the loss after allowing three hits, one earned run, five walks and struck out one batter in 3.2 innings. 


Scotland/Menno/Freeman/Canistota 1, Salem 0 (5 innings)

FREEMAN — An RBI hit-by-pitch on Luke Peters pushed Scotland/Menno/Freeman/Canistota past Salem during Monday’s legion action.

Easton Miller tallied two hits while Tannen Auch added one hit. Miller also took the victory on the mound in four shutout innings, striking out five while allowing two hits and two walks.

For Salem, Carter Randall allowed one run on three hits and two walks in four innings. Shea Klinkhammer added a double while Nolan Mentele tallied one hit in the loss.


Gregory 13, Chamberlain 3 (5 innings)

CHAMBERLAIN — A 12-run third inning powered Gregory to a legion baseball victory Monday.

Colt Keiser drove in two runs on two hits, Landon Keiser and Rane Kenzy each added two RBIs on one hit, Noah Bearshield drove in two runs, while Cruz Klundt added an RBI on one hit in the win. Bearshield tossed two innings for Gregory, allowing one hit and three walks while striking out five.

For Chamberlain, Isaac Shepherd allowed seven runs on two hits and four walks in 2.1 innings, striking out three. Eli Donovan tallied two hits, Brayden Oldenkamp drove in a run on two hits while Shepherd drove in a run on one hit in the loss.


Colton 4, Dell Rapids 1

DELL RAPIDS — Tristen Bunde’s complete game on the mound powered Colton past Dell Rapids in legion baseball action Monday.

Bunde allowed just one run on two hits and four walks in seven innings, striking out eight batters. Mason Hemme, Alex Wingen and Denton Bicknase each drove in a run on one hit while Braxton Allen and Nathan Madison each tallied one hit in the win.

For Dell Rapids, Drake Eastman allowed three runs on three hits and three walks in 6.1 innings, striking out eight. Tad Tjaden drove in the lone run for DR on a sac-fly, while Connor Hanson and Talan Millage each collected hits in the loss.


Brandon Valley 4, Spearfish 0

STURGIS — Bryton Stroh struck out eight batters as Brandon Valley defeated Spearfish in Legion baseball action on Monday. 

Stroh allowed two hits, zero runs and walked three batters in 5.2 innings. Jacob Halseth struck out two batters and allowed zero hits in 1.1 scoreless relief innings. 

Brayden Knutson and Jack Blomgren had two hits apiece, while Blomgren drove in a run. Ryland Carroll drove in two runs, while M. Veld had an RBI. Caleb Severin added a hit. 

For Spearfish, Aiden Meverden had both of the team’s two hits. Sean Sewell took the loss after allowing three hits, two earned runs, one walk and struck out four batters in four innings.

 

Dakota Valley 11, Elk Point/Jefferson 3

NORTH SIOUX CITY — Dakota Valley pounded out 11 hits as Dakota Valley defeated Elk Point/Jefferson in legion action Monday.

Sterling Schauff led the Panthers with two hits and three RBIs, Grady Ramos, Noah Graham and Vincent Hoffman each tallied an RBI on two hits, while Jack Wiese and Jackson Shoulders each drove in a run on a double in the win. Graham earned the victory on the mound in six innings, allowing three runs on nine hits while striking out nine.

For EPJ, Wyatt Herrity allowed nine runs on eight hits and a walk in three innings, striking out three. Grayson Girard tallied three hits, including two doubles, Ethan Bovill drove in a run on two hits, including a triple, while Herrity drove in a run on a double in the loss.

 

Brandon Valley 12, Sturgis 6

STURGIS — Max Peters drove in three runs and added four hits as Brandon Valley defeated Sturgis in legion action Monday.

Peters batted 4-for-5 with three RBIs, Ryland Carroll added three RBIs on a three-run homer, Ryder Mueller drove in a run on two hits and two walks, Bryton Stroh collected an RBI on a double, Christopher Joseph tallied two walks and an RBI, Will VanLeur totaled a double, walk, and two RBIs, while Brayden Knutson collected a hit and two walks in the win. Luke Felderman drove in three runs on six hits and two walks in five innings, striking out two.

For Sturgis, Elijah Stroud drove in four runs on two hits and two walks in 1.1 innings. Ethan Cermak drove in two runs on two hits, Kjell Sundstrom added two RBIs on a hit and two walks while Carter Williams added two hits, one double, in the loss.
