Burke 44, Tripp-Delmont/Armour 38 

BURKE — Burke outlasted Tripp-Delmont/Armour for a Region 6B boys basketball win on Tuesday. The Cougars will play Gregory on Tuesday. 

Bryce Frank led the Cougars with 16 points, while Ben Witt added 13 points. Nick Nelson scored 11 points. 

TDA’s Carson Koehn finished with a team-high 12 points. Isaac Wunder recorded eight points, while Mason Reiner added six points. Kaden Bialas and Riley Spaans scored five points apiece. 


White River 86, Jones County 61

WHITE RIVER — Three players scored in double figures as Class B No. 2 White River picked up a Region 7B boys basketball win on Tuesday. The Tigers play Wall on Friday.

Joe Sayler powered the Tigers with 42 points, four steals and three rebounds. Dylan Marshall netted 16 points and scored his 1,000th career point, while finishing with five assists and four rebounds. Nic Marshall logged 12 points, six rebounds and five assists. 


Howard 70, Mitchell Christian 32

HOWARD — Howard jumped out to a 43-14 halftime lead en route to a Region 4B boys basketball win over Mitchell Christian on Tuesday. The Tigers play Chester Area on Friday. 

Kolt Koepsell led the Tigers with 20 points, while Luke Koepsell and Brayden Hinker scored 14 points apiece. Hinker hit four 3-pointers. Taiden Hoyer finished with 10 points. 

Mitchell Christian’s Aiden Lieber scored 18 points, while Jo Tegethoff and Micah Frey finished with five points apiece. 


De Smet 78, Waverly-South Shore 27

DE SMET — Rett Osthus and Kalen Garry combined for 42 points to power De Smet to a Region 3B boys basketball win over Waverly-South Shore on Tuesday. The Class B No. 1 Bulldogs play Estelline/Hendricks on Friday.

Osthus led the Bulldogs with 26 points, five steals, four assists and three 3-pointers. Kalen Garry added 16 points and three 3-pointers. Tory Holland finished with nine points, seven rebounds and six steals. Tom Aughenbaugh scored eight points, while Damon Wilkinson and George Jensen added seven points apiece. Jensen grabbed eight rebounds 

WSS’s Carter Comes scored nine points, while Dan Dalton and Owen Gilmour scored eight points apiece. 


Langford Area 53, Northwestern 42

LANGFORD — Jesse Keough poured in 30 points to power Langford Area to a Region 1B boys basketball win over Northwestern on Tuesday. The Lions play Aberdeen Christian on Friday.

Ben Gustafson added nine points and 11 rebounds for Langford Area, which trailed 19-3 late in the first quarter. Kassen Keough scored six points. Aden Godel finished with five rebounds, while Brayden Peterson recorded five points. 

Northwestern’s Nathan Melius recorded 20 points and Samuel Groft finished with nine points. 

 

Aberdeen Christian 54, Britton-Hecla 30

ABERDEEN — Aberdeen Christian knocked off Britton-Hecla in Region 1B boys basketball action on Tuesday. The Knights will play Langford Area on Friday.

Aberdeen Christian’s Ethan Russell finished with 25 points and 12 rebounds, while Jackson Isakson posted 13 points. 

Britton-Hecla’s Aidan Fredrickson logged 17 points and seven rebounds.

Bridgewater-Emery 61, Dell Rapids St. Mary 47

DELL RAPIDS — Region 4B No. 7 seed Bridgewater-Emery upset No. 2 seed Dell Rapids St. Mary in boys basketball action on Tuesday. The Huskies will play Ethan on Friday.

BE’s Sutton Arend finished with 23 points and eight rebounds. Sam Hofer logged 21 points and five assists, while Camdyn Stoterau tallied 11 points. 


Viborg-Hurley 58, Menno 25

HURLEY — Viborg-Hurley raced past Menno to pick up a Region 5B boys basketball win on Tuesday. Viborg-Hurley will play Centerville on Friday.

Hayden Gilbert led the Cougars with 18 points, while Byron Osterloo scored 12 points. Blake Schroedermeier stuffed the stat sheet by adding 11 points, six rebounds, five assists, and four steals.

Menno’s Austin Pillsbury scored 11 points.


Centerville 59, Gayville-Volin 48

HURLEY — Four players scored in double figures as Centerville pulled away from Gayville-Volin for a Region 5B boys basketball win on Tuesday. Centerville will play Viborg-Hurley on Friday.

Cole Edberg led the Tornadoes with 16 points and seven rebounds, while Owen Hunter scored 14 points and four blocks. Leny Ciprian tallied 12 points and six assists, while Logan Bobzin added 11 points and four assists.

Gayville-Volin was led by Spencer Karstens with 17 points and five assists, while Andrew Gustad scored 12 points and seven rebounds. Kyle Hirsch added seven points.


Potter County 72, Sully Buttes 26

GETTYSBURG — Grant Luikens and Cooper Logan combined for 47 points to power Class B No. 3 Potter County to a boys basketball win over Sully Buttes on Tuesday. The Battlers play Faulkton Area on Friday.

Luikens finished with 26 points, 13 rebounds, four assists and four 3-pointers. Logan added 21 points, four rebounds and three 3-pointers. Drake Bassett recorded 10 points, while Seth Sharp posted six points and nine rebounds. 

Sully Buttes’ Landon Hepker and Dwight Kinney scored nine points apiece. Kinney added six rebounds. Jesse Schall finished with five points and nine rebounds.


Ipswich 64, Highmore-Harrold 50

IPSWICH — Three players scored in double figures to lift Ipswich to a Region 2B boys basketball win over Highmore-Harrold on Tuesday. The Tigers will play Lower Brule on Friday. 

Ipswich’s Taylor Thorson finished with 16 points and eight rebounds. Ty Kadlec finished with 15 points, six rebounds and five assists. Trevor Beyers added 12 points. Ian Beyers posted seven points and four assists, while Zach Geditz logged six points. Carson Gohl finished with six rebounds. 

Highmore-Harrold’s Carter LaMont and Trake Cowan scored 10 points apiece. Peyton McDonnell recorded nine points, while Bryce Bourk finished with seven points. Carter Stephenson scored six points. 


Wolsey-Wessington 70, Hitchcock-Tulare 50

WOLSEY — Wolsey-Wessington pulled away from Hitchcock-Tulare for a Region 3B boys basketball win on Tuesday. The Warbirds will play Castlewood on Friday. 

Wolsey-Wessington’s Carson Zomer and Moshe Richmond scored 16 points apiece. Payson Gohn added eight points, while Marrien Gohn had seven points. Tate French and Blaze Herdman scored six and five points, respectively. 

HT’s T.J. Salmen and Jack Boomsma finished with 12 and 11 points, respectively. Zach Gilbert added nine points and Mason Bottum had five points. 


Winner 62, McLaughlin 31

WINNER — Class A No. 3 Winner jumped out to a 36-17 halftime lead en route to a Region 6A boys basketball win over McLaughlin on Tuesday. The Warriors will play Mobridge-Pollock on Friday.

Winner’s Ethan Bartels finished with 16 points, while Blake Volmer finished with 14 points and seven rebounds. Slade Cournoyer tallied nine points, 11 rebounds and five assists. Shawn Hammerbeck recorded nine points and five rebounds. Aiden Barfuss finished with six points, while Elijah Peterson grabbed seven rebounds. 

McLaughlin’s Lane Lawrence scored 13 points, while Elias Sims added 12 points, 10 rebounds and four assists. Renzo Bull Head had five points and five boards, while Rayden Bull Head logged five rebounds. 


Stanley County 63, Crow Creek 50 

FORT PIERRE — Three players scored in double figures to lift Stanley County to a Region 6A boys basketball win over Crow Creek on Tuesday. Stanley County plays Chamberlain on Friday. 

Lathan Prince led the Buffaloes with 27 points and six rebounds. Stran Scott added 18 points, while Cormac Duffy recorded 11 points and nine rebounds. 

Crow Creek’s Talon Comes Flying finished with 15 points and seven rebounds. Jeremiah Shields had seven points, while Silas Dion and Oscar Walking Bull added six points apiece. 


Mobridge-Pollock 73, Cheyenne-Eagle Butte 71

MOBRIDGE — Mobridge-Pollock edged Cheyenne-Eagle Butte for a Region 6A boys basketball win on Tuesday. Mobridge-Pollock will play Winner on Friday.

Jackson Eisemann led the Tigers with 18 points, while Michael Wald scored 15 points. Ashton Pfitzer tallied 12 points, while Brady Bauer recorded 10 points and four assists. Thane Beheler added six points and 12 rebounds.

CEB’s Rance Harrison scored a game-high 25 points and four steals, while Teysean Eaglestaff tallied 19 points and eight rebounds. NaShon LeBeau added nine points. Elijah Brewer and Kanon Keckler scored eight points apiece. 


Mount Vernon/Plankinton 85, Andes Central/Dakota Christian 43

PLANKINTON — Four players scored in double figures to lift Mount Vernon/Plankinton to a Region 5A boys basketball win over Andes Central/Dakota Christian on Tuesday. MVP plays Parkston on Friday. 

MVP’s Jordan Stoltz finished with 27 points and five rebounds, while Reed Rus added 17 points, 14 rebounds and seven assists. Zach Baker tallied 12 points, while Trevor Sweet had 10 points. Blaine Bohr logged six points. 

ACDC’s Cameron Sybesma scored 14 points, while Nolan Black Cloud added nine points. 


Dakota Valley 75, Parker 52

NORTH SIOUX CITY — Class A No. 1 Dakota Valley raced past Parker for a Region 4A boys basketball win on Tuesday. Dakota Valley will play Vermillion on Friday.

Isaac Bruns led the Panthers with 31 points and 14 rebounds, while Jaxson Wingert scored 17 points and six rebounds. Jaxon Hennies tallied nine points and five assists, while Randy Rosenquist, Sam Faldmo, and Joey Bryan each scored six points. Rosenquist also dished out seven assists.

Parker was led by Carter Robertson with 28 points, while Davin Fuller added seven points.


Flandreau 86, Flandreau Indian 43

FLANDREAU — Tash Lunday and Chase LeBrun combined for 46 points as Class A No. 4 Flandreau cruised past Flandreau Indian for a Region 2A boys basketball win on Tuesday. Flandreau will play Deubrook Area on Friday.

Lunday finished with 29 points and eight rebounds, while LeBrun totaled 17 points and eight rebounds. Alex Anderson added six points and 11 assists.

Flandreau Indian was led by Malik Longie with 25 points, while L’Trell Brother of All added 11 points.


Deubrook Area 64, Deuel 48

WHITE — Three players scored in double figures as Deubrook Area picked up a Region 2A boys basketball win over Deuel on Tuesday. Deubrook Area will play Flandreau on Friday.

Nick Bowne led the Dolphins with 18 points, while Parker Crooks scored 16 points. Mason Shaw tallied 11 points, while Sutton Fritz added eight points.

Deuel was led by Braydon Simon with 17 points, while Trey Maaland scored 14 points. Cooper Schiernbeck added 13 points.


Sioux Valley 60, Great Plains Lutheran 40

VOLGA — Four players scored in double-figures as Sioux Valley picked up a Region 2A boys basketball win over Great Plains Lutheran on Tuesday. Sioux Valley will play Hamlin on Friday.

Oliver Vincent led the Cossacks with 12 points, while Damian Danzeisen, Parker Puetz, and Hayden Ruesink scored 11 points apiece. Alec Squires added eight points and 14 rebounds.

GPL was led by Ethan Kjenstad and Sam Hansen with 17 points apiece, while Alex Heil added six points. 


Hamlin 75, Elkton-Lake Benton 43

HAYTI — Easton Neuendorf and Tyson Stevenson combined for 40 points to lift Hamlin to a Region 2A boys basketball win over Elkton-Lake Benton on Tuesday. Hamlin plays Sioux Valley on Friday. 

Neuendorf finished with 24 points and hit four 3-pointers. Stevenson added 16 points, while Evan Stormo scored 10 points. Brennan Keszler posted six points, while Dawson Noem and Rylan Bawdon scored five points apiece. 

ELB’s Aiden Erickson finished with 15 points, while Miles Harming added nine points. Logan Kuehl and Ryan Krog scored eight and seven points, respectively. 


West Central 70, Baltic 45

HARTFORD — West Central picked up a Region 3A boys basketball win over Baltic on Tuesday. West Central will play Madison on Friday.

Grafton Stroup led the Trojans with 25 points, while Jack Linneman scored 12 points. Jacob Krempges tallied nine points, while Wilson Droge added seven points.

Baltic’s Beau Breece scored 12 points, while James Leffring and Jack Erickson added 11 and nine points, respectively.
