Platte-Geddes 48, Miller 39

PLATTE — Platte-Geddes pulled away from Miller for a Region 6A boys basketball win on Friday. Platte-Geddes will play Cheyenne-Eagle Butte in a SoDak 16 qualifying game on Saturday. 

Platte-Geddes’ Hayden Sprik scored 17 points and hit four 3-pointers. Max Miller finished with 15 points and hit four 3-pointers. Braxton Breukelman had 12 points 

Miller’s Isaak Hunter scored 18 points. Derek Brueggeman had eight points and Oliver Fritzsche logged seven points.


Pine Ridge 67, Lakota Tech 59

PINE RIDGE — Pine Ridge rallied past Lakota Tech for a Region 7A boys basketball win on Friday. Pine Ridge will play St. Francis on Saturday in a SoDak 16 qualifying game.

Pine Ridge’s Marvin Richard III recorded 28 points. Caleb Black Feather added 15 points and Anthony Steele totaled 13 points. 

For Lakota Tech, Julian Tonche tossed in 23 points and Riley Brave scored 11 points. Davonte Ross and Dominic Johnson scored six points apiece. 


Rapid City Christian 76, Custer 53

RAPID CITY —  Three players scored in double figures as Rapid City Christian advanced to the SoDak with a win over Custer on Friday. 

Benson Kieffer powered the Comets with 28 points. Julius Frog finished with 12 points and Simon Kieffer chipped in with 10 points. 

Cody Dirkes led Custer with 21 points. Kyle Virtue and Rhett Lowe each had eight points for the Wildcats. 


Stanley County 74, Crow Creek 43

FORT PIERRE — Paxton Deal powered Stanley County to a Region 6A boys basketball win on Friday. Stanley County will play Mobridge-Pollock in a SoDak 16 qualifying game on Saturday. 

Deal poured in 29 points and hit six 3-pointers. Kaden Montana recorded 15 points and hit three 3-pointers. Teegyn Breitag added 11 points.  

Crow Creek’s Kingston Big Eagle scored 14 points and hit four 3-pointers.


Sully Buttes 68, Potter County 46

ONIDA — Wesley Wittler powered Sully Buttes to a Region 6B boys basketball win on Friday. The Chargers qualified for the SoDak 16 on March 11. 

Wittler poured in a career-high 41 points. Gavin Colson and Eli Mercer scored nine points apiece.

Potter County’s Jerand Chase scored 15 points and Jhett Simon added 12 points. 


De Smet 75, Estelline/Hendricks 70

ESTELLINE — Grant Wilkinson powered De Smet to a Region 2B boys basketball win on Friday. De Smet will play Castlewood on Saturday in a SoDak 16 qualifying game.

Wilkinson finished with 29 points and 22 rebounds. Noah Luethmers recorded 16 points, three rebounds and three assists. Carter Wilkinson added 10 points and four rebounds. Samuel Gigov added eight points, four rebounds and four assists. Ganon Henrich totaled seven points, while Slayten Wilkinson added five points, seven assists and four rebounds.

For EH, Kyler Carlson tossed in a game-high 31 points. Brayden Cokens had 14 points and five rebounds. Wyat James added 10 points, three rebounds and three 3-pointers. Braxton Pravecek logged seven points and seven rebounds. Braxton Jongeling totaled six points. 


Madison 49, Flandreau 45

FLANDREAU — Madison earned a road win over Flandreau in Region 3A boys basketball action on Friday. Madison will play West Central in a SoDak 16 qualifying game on Saturday. 

Myles Schneider finished with a game high 18 points for Madison. 

Micah Otto led Flandreau with 12 points. Alexavier Poitra also reached double figures for Flandreau with 10 points.


Colman-Egan 46, Sanborn Central-Woonsocket 37

WOONSOCKET — Colman-Egan defeated Sanborn Central-Woonsocket in Region 3B action Friday. Colman-Egan will play  Dell Rapids St. Mary in a SoDak 16 qualifying game on Saturday.

CE’s stats were not reported.

McCoy Schulz led the Blackhawks with 16 points, 13 rebounds and three steals in the loss while Grant Edwards added 13 points and seven rebounds as well.


Castlewood 71, Iroquois/Lake Preston 23

CASTLEWOOD — Three players scored in double figures to power Castlewood to a Region 2B boys basketball win on Friday. Castlewood will play De Smet in a SoDak 16 qualifying game on Saturday.

Castlewood’s Brody Bass finished with 17 points. Jamison Keszler recorded 16 points. Bryon Laue had 13 points and 10 rebounds. Luke Baumberger scored nine points on three 3-pointers. Tyson Manley scored six points and Kolby Davis had five points.

For ILP, Brycen Blue scored seven points and Lucas Peskey had six points. 


Ipswich 53, Wakpala 41

IPSWICH — A big night from Max Kulesa helped Ipswich punch its ticket to the SoDak 16 with a win over Wakpala on Thursday. 

Kulesa led the Tigers with 20 points, seven rebounds and three assists. Hayden Schlosser finished with eight points and Tucker Kadlec and Jaxon Holt each had six points. 

Lane Cadotte and Tevaughn Steele each had 15 points for Wakpala. Bretten Wells added 10 points for Wakpala. 


Viborg-Hurley 76, Irene-Wakonda 37

VIBORG — Four players scored in double figures in Class B No. 1 Viborg-Hurley’s win over Irene-Wakonda Friday in Region 4B action. VH will face Centerville in a SoDak 16 qualifying game Saturday.

VH’s Braydyn Morrison led with 17 points and two steals, Owen Niederbaumer added 17 points, three rebounds, two steals and two blocks, Nick Hanson tallied 12 points and seven boards while Brady Schroedermeier netted 11 points in the win.

IW’s Brody Johnke had 10 points while Jens Hansen tallied nine points and three assists in the loss.


Leola/Frederick Area 70, Wilmot 55

LEOLA — Leola/Frederick Area defeated Wilmot in a Region 1B boys basketball game on Friday. Leola/Frederick Area will play Waverly-South Shore in a SoDak 16 qualifying game on Saturday. 

Leola/Frederick Area’s Noah Kippley finished with 17 points and Zander Hoffman added 12 points. Ethan Petrich and Jace Thorpe scored 11 points apiece. Gavin Nickelson and Milo Sumption scored seven points apiece.

Wilmot’s Carson Jurgens finished with 10 points. Tyler Hauge, Daniel Kohl and Micah Pelzel scored eight points apiece. Jaxon Dockter had seven points and Ethan Schwenn scored six points. 


Waubay-Summit 51, Northwestern 43

SUMMIT — A balanced scoring attack powered Waubay-Summit to a Region 1B victory over Northwestern Friday. Waubay-Summit will face Aberdeen Christian in a SoDak 16 qualifying game Saturday.

Hogan Hlavacek had 13 points for the Mustangs, Traveion Neilan tallied 12 points while Dylan Rumpza scored 11 points in the win.

Northwestern’s Jack Hansen tallied a game-high 18 points in the loss while Jarren Haven, Will Clemens and Carson Ewalt each had six points in the loss.


Centerville 48, Tripp-Delmont/Armour 46

CENTERVILLE — Centerville clipped Tripp-Delmont/Armour in Region 4B boys basketball action on Friday. Centerville will play Viborg-Hurley in a SoDak 16 qualifying game on Saturday.

Centerville’s Aiden Bobzin recorded 14 points, four rebounds and three assists. Alec Austin added 11 points and five rebounds. Corbin Tople had nine points and five boards. Miles Eide had six points and four rebounds. Ethan Bobzin finished with six points and three rebounds.

For TDA, Riley Spaans posted 12 points and seven rebounds. Reegan Loneman had 12 points and three rebounds. Isaac Wunder recorded 10 points, four rebounds and three assists. Levi DeWaard had five points. Dalton Westendorf tallied five rebounds and four points. 


Freeman 61, Gayville-Volin 38

FREEMAN — David Walter recorded a double-double to power Freeman to a Region 4B boys basketball win on Friday. Freeman will play Parkston in a SoDak 16 qualifying game on Saturday.

Walter totaled 25 points and 11 rebounds. Luke Peters posted 10 points. Chris Aasen had eight points and six rebounds. Tate Sorensen added eight points and 10 boards. Oliver Waltner recorded six boards.

For GV, Spencer Karstens had 21 points and seven rebounds.


Wessington Springs 64, James Valley Christian 56

WESSINGTON SPRINGS — Ryder Michalek tallied 18 points in Class B No. 4 Wessington Springs’ win over James Valley Christian in Region 2B action Friday. WS will face Wolsey-Wessington in a SoDak 16 qualifying game Saturday.

Michalek had 18 points and nine rebounds, Karter Mebius recorded 12 points, Colby Flowers tallied 10 points while Parker Graff added seven points in the win for the Spartans. Braden Flowers had six points. 

JVC’s stats were not reported.


Parkston 65, Alcester-Hudson 35

PARKSTON — Parkston rolled past Alcester-Hudson in a Region 4B boys basketball game on Friday. Parkston will play Freeman in a SoDak 16 qualifying game on Saturday.

Parkston’s Brycen Bruening finished with 22 points, while James Deckert added 20 points, six rebounds and three assists. Mason Jervik added 13 points, five rebounds and three assists. Elliott Leischner had five rebounds.

For AH, Jose Topete-Lopez had 16 points and Evan Brown added seven points. 


Dell Rapids St. Mary 73, Sioux Falls Lutheran 43

DELL RAPIDS — Maverick LeBrun and Trevon Beckman powered Dell Rapids St. Mary to a Region 3B boys basketball win on Friday. The Cardinals will play Colman-Egan in a SoDak 16 qualifying game on Saturday.

LeBrun and Beckman scored 20 points apiece. 


Clark/Willow Lake 72, Great Plains Lutheran 41

CLARK — A balanced scoring attack helped Clark/Willow Lake run past Great Plains Lutheran in Region 2B action Friday. The Cyclones will play Deuel in a SoDak 16 qualifying game. 

Sully Felberg led the Cyclones with 24 points, six rebounds, two assists and two steals. Chris Bevers added 17 points and Bo Begeman chipped in with 10 points, seven rebounds and six assists. 

Austin Rubendall led Great Plains Lutheran with 10 points and six rebounds.


Deuel 64, Elkton-Lake Benton 40

CLEAR LAKE — Three players scored in double figures as Deuel defeated Elkton-Lake Benton in Region 2A action Friday. Deuel will face Elkton-Lake Benton in a SoDak 16 qualifying game Saturday.

Caden Finnesand led with 19 points and four rebounds, Jaxon Peterreins had 14 points, four rebounds, three assists and three steals while Gabe Sather had 13 points, nine rebounds and four assists in the win.

ELB’s Tanner Stein tallied 13 points while Eliot Erickson scored eight points, five rebounds and three steals in the loss.


Mobridge-Pollock 52, Chamberlain 23

MOBRIDGE — Mobridge-Pollock coasted past Chamberlain for a Region 6A boys basketball win on Friday. Mobridge-Pollock will play Stanley County in a SoDak 16 qualifying game on Saturday.

Mobridge-Pollock’s Jackson Eisemann finished with 13 points, while Shane Henderson added 10 points. Kale Knudson had nine points, while Easton Eisemann recorded six points. 

For Chamberlain, Breckyn Harmon had seven points. Riddik Big Eagle and Grady Olson scored five points apiece. 


Groton Area 60, Britton-Hecla 29 

GROTON — Groton Area coasted past Britton-Hecla for a Region 1A boys basketball win on Friday. Groton Area qualified for the SoDak 16 on March 11.

Groton Area’s Becker Bosma finished with 15 points, five rebounds and four assists. Ryder Johnson added 11 points, eight rebounds and four steals. Gage Sippel logged eight points and three steals. Keegen Tracy finished with seven points and six assists. Karson Zak had six points and Turner Thompson added five points.

Britton-Hecla stats were not reported. 


Dell Rapids 35, Baltic 32

DELL RAPIDS — Dell Rapids clipped Baltic in Region 3A boys basketball action. The Quarriers will play in the SoDak 16 on March 11. 

Dell Rapids’ Tad Tjaden recorded 18 points, seven rebounds and four steals.

For Baltic, Kellen Artz scored 18 points.
