Menno's Ashton Massey records four first-place finishes at Centerville Relays

CENTERVILLE — Menno’s Ashton Massey claimed four first-place finishes to highlight action at Tuesday’s Centerville Relays.

Massey won the 100-meter hurdles (:16.12), 300-meter hurdles (:46.71) and the triple jump (36-01). Massey teamed with Ellyana Ulmer, Nora Robb and Zoe Schaeffer to win the 3,200-meter relay (10:31.76).

Gayville-Volin’s Taylor Hoxeng won three titles that included the 100-meter dash (:13.66), 200-meter dash (:28.92) and the long jump (15-10). Her teammate, Jolie Westrum claimed the 800-meter run (2:29.37) and the 1,600-meter run (5:34.96). 

The Centerville girls had a strong day winning the 400-meter relay (:53.77), 800-meter relay (1:52.53) and 1,600-meter relay (4:26.72). Lillee Shearer won the 400-meter dash (1:04.65), Kiylee Westra won the discus (112-00) and the javelin (112-08).

Viborg-Hurley’s Luke Campbell claimed four first place finishes Tuesday winning the 200-meter dash (:24.96), 110-meter hurdles (:16.00), 300-meter hurdles (:42.58) and teaming with Jacob Graves, Josh Roth and Chance Schoellerman to win the 400-meter relay (:46.70).

Deubrook Area’s Gavin Landmark won the 400-meter dash (:52.37) and teamed with Jaxon Quail, Landen Johnson and Charlie Olsen to win the 3,200-meter relay (8:40.40).

Beresford’s Andrew Atwood won the 1,600-meter run (4:33.27) and ran a leg on the Watchdogs winning 1,600-meter sprint medley relay (3:55.55).

The Centerville boys looked strong in the field events with Alec Austin winning the discus (137-02), Miles Eide winning the javelin (155-01), Covin Wattier the high jump (5-08) and the pole vault (10-06).
