FAULKTON — Northwestern’s Ella Boekelheide and Herreid/Selby Area’s Gavin Hirsch claimed individual titles at Wednesday’s Faulkton Lakeside Invitational.

Boekelheide covered the 5,000-meter run at Lakeside Country Club in 19 minutes and :31.68 seconds, finishing ahead of Ipswich’s Madisyn Gellhaus (20:18.24). Ipswich’s Kalynn Oban (20:22.21), Jayla Stiles (20:28.08) and Isabella Galbraith (20:45.12) rounded out the top-five girls runners.

Hirsch won the boys race in 17:37.84, followed by Faulkton Area’s Korbin Stark (18:28.49) and Crow Creek’s Justin St. John (18:30.20). Frederick Area’s Titus Kippley (18:36.52) and Howard Sumption (18:54.54) rounded out the top-five boys runners.

The Ipswich girls won the team title with nine points, followed by Northwestern (20) and Warner (33). North Central won the boys race with 53 points.
