Platte-Geddes 3, Gregory 0

PLATTE — Class A No. 5 Platte-Geddes picked up a three-set high school volleyball win over Gregory on Thursday. The set scores were 25-11, 25-10 and 25-18.

Platte-Geddes’ Karly VanDerWerff finished with six kills, 10 digs, two blocks and one ace. Regan Hoffman added six kills, six digs, two aces and one block. Emerson Ringling finished with three kills. Hadley Hanson added two kills, 12 digs and two aces. Baleigh Nachtigal logged two kills, three blocks, two assists, six digs and five aces. Avery DeVries finished with 15 assists, six aces and two digs. Karsen Sondegroth logged six aces, two digs and one kill. 

Gregory’s Mya Determan posted nine kills, while Cassidy Keiser logged five kills and two blocks. Asia VanDerWerff finished with two blocks and Jordan Svatos had nine digs. 


Burke 3, Corsica-Stickney 0

CORSICA — Class B No. 3 Burke swept Corsica-Stickney in Thursday high school volleyball action. The set scores were 25-6, 25-16, and 25-16.

Burke’s Adisyn Indahl logged 17 kills and 11 digs, while Kailee Frank tallied nine kills, five digs, and three aces. Paige Bull had five kills, while Elle Johnson had 15 digs. Elly Witt had 17 assists and three aces, while Ava Sargent had 12 assists and three aces.

Corsica-Stickney was led by Sophie DeLange and Braylee Bordewyk with four kills and two digs apiece. Jacey Kemp, Brooklyn Bosma, and Ashlyn Lefers each had two kills. Kemp and Cali Vanden Hoek had seven digs apiece. Sutten Eide added 13 assists and four digs.


Bridgewater-Emery 3, Avon 1 

AVON — Bridgewater-Emery earned a four-set high school volleyball win over Avon on Thursday. The set scores were 25-23, 18-25, 25-23, and 25-21.

Bridgewater-Emery’s Lexi Golder led with 16 kills, three aces, and two blocks, while Madison Fisk tallied eight kills. Hayden Hofer had five kills, 14 digs, 24 assists, and three aces. Oakley Weber logged 13 digs and 11 assists, while Kennedie Roskens led with 27 digs. Maizey Strombeck added three aces.

Avon’s Courtney Sees had 22 kills, 29 digs, and one block, while Lila Vanderlei had seven kills, 21 digs, and two aces. Lexi Vanderlei tallied five kills and 16 digs, while McKenna Kocmich had 35 assists. Kim Tolsma added two aces.


 

Scotland 3, Centerville 2

CENTERVILLE — Scotland outlasted Centerville for a high school volleyball win on Thursday. The set scores were 20-25, 25-21, 25-20, 27-29, and 15-8.

Scotland was led by Martina DeBoer with 16 kills, 14 digs, and four blocks, while Trinity Bietz tallied 15 kills, 10 digs, and five aces. Grace Robb logged nine kills and 15 digs, while Kalley Vitek had 43 assists and 10 digs. Claire Janish had 22 assists, 15 digs, and three aces, while Bailey Vitek added 19 digs and two aces.

Centerville’s Thea Gust led with nine kills, five digs, and five aces, while Lillie Eide recorded six kills, eight digs, five blocks, and two aces. Rylie Tieman had five kills, while Bailey Hansen had three kills, 12 digs, and five aces. Keira Austin had 19 assists, while Mackenzie Meyer added six digs.


Iroquois/Lake Preston 3, Sunshine Bible Academy 0

MILLER — Iroquois/Lake Preston swept Sunshine Bible Academy in straight sets for a high school volleyball win on Thursday. The set scores were 25-19, 25-8, and 25-10.

I/LP’s Ava Malone led with seven kills, while Anna Decker had six kills. Adison Moore had eight digs and five aces, while Becca Bich had 10 assists and eight aces. Trinity Pirlet added nine assists.

SBA’s Annaliese VanZee had two kills, two blocks, and one ace, while Rylee Nelson had two blocks. Betra Amare and Sadie Konechne each had three digs. 


Tripp-Delmont/Armour 3, Sanborn Central/Woonsocket 0

TRIPP — Tripp-Delmont/Armour swept Sanborn Central/Woonsocket in straight sets in Thursday high school volleyball action. The set scores were 25-13, 25-21 and 25-19.

TDA’s Megan Reiner logged 14 kills, six digs and one ace. Gracey Schatz added 10 kills and seven digs. Hannah Stremick posted 10 digs, 31 assists, four kills, three aces and one block. Faith Goehring posted 12 digs and two aces. Morgan Gemar finished with seven digs, three kills and one ace. 

SCW’s Kam Ochsner finished with six kills, eight digs and two blocks. Kailynn Eggleston posted five kills and one digs. Bailey Feistner posted eight assists and seven digs. Kenlie Fridley logged five assists and six digs. Kenna Ochnser finished with 13 digs, two kills and one block. Ellie Evans posted 12 digs and four kills. 


Northwestern 3, Faulkton Area 0

MELLETTE — Class B No. 4 Northwestern swept Faulkton Area for a high school volleyball win on Thursday. The set scores were 25-15, 25-12, and 25-15.

Ella Haven led with 17 kills, nine digs, and three aces, while Ashley Haven tallied nine kills, eight digs, and two aces. Brooklinn Halvorson logged five kills and 28 assists, while Payton Grandpre had 11 digs and five aces.

Faulkton Area’s Addison Melius tallied 10 kills, while Carley Cotton had five kills and 12 digs. Aedyn Raethz had 11 digs and three aces, while Gabby Kast added 17 assists.


Miller 3, Hitchcock-Tulare 0

MILLER — Miller swept Hitchcock-Tulare in straight sets in Thursday high school volleyball action. The set scores were 25-14, 25-13 and 25-7.

Miller’s Jaden Werdel finished with 10 kills, five digs and two aces. Ally Mullaney added eight kills, while Aleah Schlechter had six kills. Tricia Lammers logged six kills. Jolie Palmer and Journey Palmer had 14 digs apiece. Tyra Gates had eight digs, while Abbi Blake posted five aces. Ruby Carter finished with two aces. Mullaney finished with a solo block and Schlechter had three block assists. 

H-T’s Katelyn Schroeder finished with eight kills and seven digs. Ella Johnson and Lila Johnson finished with three kills apiece. Gracyn Bixler had 10 assists, while Presley Binger had eight assists. Binger and Cambree Hoekman had five digs apiece. Brooklyn Frankenstein finished with two aces. 


Aberdeen Christian 3, Wilmot 2

WILMOT — Aberdeen Christian outlasted Wilmot for a high school volleyball win on Thursday. The set scores were 26-24, 22-25, 26-24, 22-25, and 15-13.

Wilmot’s Kayla Hamman had nine kills and four aces, while Ashlyn Ebben had three kills and four aces. Adrienne High Eagle had three kills and three aces, while Paige Johnson also had three kills. Stacia Redday added four aces.

Aberdeen Christian stats were not reported.


Redfield 3, Clark/Willow Lake 0

REDFIELD — Redfield swept Clark/Willow Lake in straight sets in Thursday high school volleyball action. The set scores were 25-16, 25-18 and 25-21.

Redfield’s Camryn Rohlfs finished with 39 assists and two aces, while she also broke the school record for most career assists. Gracie Fast posted 14 kills. Chloe Zens and Katie Rozell finished with 14 and 13 digs, respectively. Rozell added two blocks. 

CWL’s Haylee Tormanen finished with three kills, while Sara Thornvold and Tehya Vig had three digs apiece. 


Milbank 3, Groton Area 0

MILBANK — Milbank swept Groton Area in straight sets in Thursday high school volleyball action. The set scores were 25-22, 25-16 and 25-21.

Milbank’s Rachel Schulte logged 15 kills and one block, while Skyler Skoog added six kills. Rylie Overby finished with five kills and one ace. Claire Snaza added four kills. Averie Engebretson dished out 28 assists and had 11 digs. Hallie Schulte finished with 21 digs. Addisyn Krause added 12 digs. 

Groton Area’s Aspen Johnson and Sydney Leicht finished with 10 kills apiece, while Leicht had three aces and 13 digs. Liz Fliehs finished with 24 assists. Carly Guthmiller had 15 digs and Laila Roberts had 11 digs. Anna Fjeldheim added three kills. 


Elkton-Lake Benton 3, Deubrook Area 0

WHITE — Elkton-Lake Benton swept Deubrook Area in straight sets for a high school volleyball win on Thursday. The set scores were 25-11, 25-21, and 25-16.

Elkton-Lake Benton’s Rachael Krog recorded 13 kills and 19 digs, while Kylie Ramlo had 11 kills, 11 digs, and one block. Kailyn Drietz tallied six kills and seven digs, while Andrea Renkly had three kills. Tevan Erickson logged 34 assists, 18 digs, and four aces.

Deubrook Area’s Kyarra Blum tallied seven kills, while Miranda Moravetz had five kills, 16 digs, adn two aces. Skyla Peterson had five kills, while Brooke Koppatschek had 10 assists and one block, while Ellie Koenig had six assists and one ace. Delaney Pedersen and Taylor Ekern added 13 and 11 digs, respectively.


Dakota Valley 3, Madison 0 

NORTH SIOUX CITY — Class A No. 2 Dakota Valley swept Madison in straight sets for a high school volleyball win on Thursday. The set scores were 25-18, 25-10, and 25-17.

Dakota Valley was led by Sophie Tuttle with 11 kills and two aces, while Jorja VanDenHul logged nine kills and two blocks. Claire Munch had eight kills, 15 digs, and three aces, while Addie Kleis and Cameron Sommervold each had five kills. Sommervold also added 14 digs and three blocks. Logan Miller had 35 assists, while Kate VanRoyan added 28 digs.

Madison’s Audrey Nelson had eight kills, 11 digs, and four blocks, while Amanda Vacanti recorded three kills, nine assists, and six digs. Ellie Osthus had three kills and three blocks, while Karley Theede had nine assists and four digs. Callie McDermott had seven digs, while Maycee Theede added five digs and three aces.


McCook Central/Montrose 3, West Central 0

MONTROSE — McCook Central/Montrose swept West Central in high school volleyball action on Thursday. The set scores were 25-18, 25-13, and 25-20.

West Central’s Maria Peterson tallied five kills, while Aubree Miller had four kills and seven assists. Ellie Lienhard logged nine assists and two aces, while Kaia Gabbert and Jocelyn Nilson added 11 and nine digs, respectively.

McCook Central/Montrose stats were not reported.


Brandon Valley 3, Yankton 1 

YANKTON — Brandon Valley picked up a four-set volleyball win over Yankton on Thursday. The set scores were 25-21, 22-25, 22-25, and 22-25.

Yankton’s Ava Koller led with 18 kills, 22 digs, and two aces, while Macy Drotzmann tallied 12 kills and 12 digs. Camille McDermott had 37 assists, 19 digs, and three kills, while Payton Moser added 31 digs.

Brandon Valley stats were not reported.
