Wagner 48, Parkston 37 

WAGNER — Ashlyn Koupal powered Class A No. 5 Wagner to a girls basketball win over Class B No. 2 Parkston in girls basketball action on Thursday.

Koupal finished with 35 points, 17 rebounds, eight blocked shots, three assists and three steals. 

For Parkston, Berkley Ziebart added 18 points and four rebounds. Keeara Oakley had 11 points, 10 rebounds and five steals. Lexi Schoenfelder had five points, three steals and three assists. 


Deubrook Area 58, Estelline-Hendricks 14

ESTELLINE — Mataya Gouws and Peyton Trooien powered Deubrook Area to a girls basketball win on Thursday.

Gouws finished with 18 points and Trooien added 10 points. Matte Bouman scored nine points on three 3-pointers. Kylee Johnson scored six points and Matti Ramlo had five points.

For EH, Presley Bury scored nine points. 


Lyman 53, Stanley County 18

FORT PIERRE — Jordyn Scott and Mak Scott powered Class B No. 1 Lyman to a girls basketball win on Thursday.

Jordyn Scott finished with 17 points, seven rebounds, six assists and six steals. Mak Scott added 14 points, 10 rebounds, seven steals and three assists. Bree Smart scored nine points, while Brooke Montgomery scored five points. 

Stanley County stats were not reported. 


Wolsey-Wessington 57, Hitchcock-Tulare 51

WOLSEY — Wolsey-Wessington outlasted Hitchcock-Tulare for a 281 Conference tourney girls basketball win on Thursday.

WW’s Shae Uttecht finished with 13 points, while Taylor Eichstadt posted 11 points. Kendal Uttecht added 10 points and six rebounds.

For HT, Cambree Hoekman and Gracyn Bixler finished with 15 points apiece. Emmerie Arthurs added 11 points. Jocelyn Wagner had eight rebounds. Kenli Hooks grabbed seven boards.


Wessington Springs 55, Iroquois-Lake Preston 46

WOSLEY — Three players scored in double figures as Wessington Springs took down Iroquois-Lake Preston in the 281 Conference tournament Thursday.

Kenzie Kolousek led the Spartans with 14 points and six rebounds while Kendall Kolousek and Masynn Mebius each poured in 12 points in the win.

For ILP, Brityn Davies tallied 12 points, Hadlee Holt added nine points, Skyla Harris recorded seven points while Bentlee Holt totaled six points in the loss.


Sanborn Central/Woonsocket 51, James Valley Christian 23

WOLSEY — Class B No. 9 Sanborn Central/Woonsocket coasted past James Valley Christian for a 281 Conference tourney girls basketball win on Thursday.

SCW’s Lainey Goertz finished with 17 points and Addison Bartholow added seven points. Cami Edwards and Carley Edwards scored six points apiece.

For JVC, Rylin Wipf scored 12 points and Janiyah Waldner added five points. 


Highmore-Harrold 78, Sunshine Bible Academy 26

WOLSEY — Highmore-Harrold picked up a 281 Conference tourney girls basketball win over Sunshine Bible Academy on Thursday.

HH’s Jada Baloun posted 13 points and three steals. Callie Chavez added 10 points. Autumn Fallis and Whitley Baloun scored eight points apiece. 

For SBA, Kalyn Sarchet and Tessa Hinman scored seven points apiece. Dakota Boersma had five points and seven rebounds. Hinman added six rebounds.


Northwestern 42, Ipswich 27

MELLETTE — Ashley Haven’s 22 points powered Northwestern over Ipswich in girls basketball action Thursday.

Haven led the Wildcats with 22 points, Tara Blachford added 11 points while Sophia Troske netted seven points in the win.

For Ipswich, Marley Guthmiller tallied 10 points, Jalyssa Hutson recorded six points while Gabby Wald and Brianna Geditz each had five points in the loss.


Castlewood 49, Great Plains Lutheran 36

WATERTOWN — Claire Horn and Cassidy Kirwan powered Castlewood to a Thursday girls basketball win.

Horn finished with 14 points and three assists. Kirwan added 14 points. Sophia Kudrna and Ava Ruml scored six points apiece. Ruml had eight rebounds and Kudrna added six boards. Kayla Goens had five steals, three rebounds and four points. 

For GPL, Katherine Prahl posted 16 points and three rebounds. Kate Holeman and Emily Moritz scored six points apiece. 


Hamlin 54, Webster Area 21

HAYTI — Addie Neuendorf and Issie Steffensen powered Class B No. 3 Hamlin to a girls basketball win on Thursday.

Neuendorf finished with 14 points and hit three 3-pointers. Steffensen added 12 points. Addie Jensen totaled nine points and Paxton Neuendorf scored seven points. Paige Stormo scored five points.

For Webster Area, Bailee Ninke scored nine points and Ryan Johnson scored six points.


Centerville 56, Irene-Wakonda 32

CENTERVILLE — A balanced scoring attack paced Class B No. 5 Centerville over Irene-Wakonda in girls basketball action Thursday.

Izzie Eide led the Tornadoes with 15 points, eight rebounds and four steals, Brea Austin added 14 points, three steals and two assists, Peyton Hansen had 10 points and two steals, Lydia Austin added eight points, six boards, three steals and two assists while Tessa Eide collected nine points, six rebounds and two steals in the win.

For IW, Emily Oien had 11 points, Rose Libby collected six points while Bella Healy added five points in the loss.


Lennox 60, Vermillion 24

LENNOX — Class A No. 2 Lennox rolled past Lennox for a Thursday girls basketball win.

Lennox’s Teagen Sturm finished with 10 points, while Andie Peters, Karlie Bosma and Tori Gerdes scored nine points apiece. Gerdes had nine rebounds, while Peters and Bosma had four boards apiece. Bosma added three assists. 

For Vermillion, Shea Hinseth scored 11 points and grabbed four rebounds. Taylor Reuvers posted seven points, three rebounds and three assists. 


Groton Area 71, Tiospa Zina 3

GROTON — Three players scored in double figures to power Groton Area to a girls basketball win on Thursday.

Groton Area’s Taryn Traphagen finished with 15 points and seven steals. Jerica Locke added 11 points and five assists. Jaedyn Penning had 10 points and eight boards. Kella Tracy scored nine points and grabbed four rebounds. Rylee Dunker scored five points. Talli Wright, Rylee Dunker and Sydney Locke scored five points apiece. 


Brandon Valley 53, Harrisburg 43

BRANDON — Alyvia Padgett powered Class AA No. 1 Brandon Valley to a girls basketball win on Thursday.

Padgett finished with 23 points, while Ava Kellenberger totaled 16 points. Gracie Salter scored seven points.

For Harrisburg, Taylor Nedved scored 10 points and hit three 3-pointers. Allison Flanagan and Logan Durnil added eight points apiece. Claire McCallum had six points.
