CHAMBERLAIN — Chamberlain defeated McLaughlin and Cheyenne-Eagle Butte in its home triangular on Tuesday. 

Against McLaughlin, the Cubs won 19-25, 25-16, 25-10, 21-25 and 15-10. Chamberlain swept Cheyenne-Eagle Butte, 25-22, 25-14 and 25-13.

McLaughlin defeated Cheyenne-Eagle Butte in four sets. The set scores were 26-24, 25-17, 21-25 and 25-19.


Avon 3, Corsica-Stickney 0

AVON — Avon swept Corsica-Stickney in Tuesday high school volleyball action. The set scores were 25-22, 25-18 and 25-11.

Avon’s Courtney Sees finished with 13 kills and 18 digs. Rilyn Thury logged nine kills. McKenna Kocmich posted 15 digs, 25 assists and three aces. Jordyn Voigt posted 14 digs and one ace. Lexi Vanderlei added two blocks. Macy Voight recorded two aces.

For Corsica-Stickney, Sophie DeLange logged eight digs, six kills, four assists and 1.5 blocks. Ashlyn Lefers and Braylee Bordewyk posted three kills apiece. Bordewyk added nine digs and five assists. Jacey Kemp collected 11 digs and one ace. 


Colman-Egan 3, Deubrook Area 0

WHITE — Class B No. 4 Colman-Egan swept Deubrook Area in straight sets on Tuesday. The set scores were 25-22, 25-17 and 25-12.

Colman-Egan’s Anna Zwart finished with 15 kills, while Daniela Lee and Elaine Rhode posted four kills apiece. Zwart had two aces and 14 digs. Karissa Williams logged two aces. Presley Luce had 14 digs. Lee added 17 digs. Lanie Mousel recorded 18 assists and one solo block. 

For Deubrook Area, Zoey Molengraaf finished with seven kills and five block assists. Madalyn Bauman posted seven assists, while Matte Bauman had eight assists and one ace. Matte Bauman finished with seven digs and four block assists. Delaney Pedersen had eight digs and Carly Engelstad had seven digs. 


Chester 3, Sioux Valley 0

VOLGA — Class B No. 2 Chester swept Sioux Valley in Tuesday high school volleyball action. The set scores were 25-12, 25-17 and 25-12.

Chester’s Jacy Wolf finished with eight kills, seven digs and two blocks. Emmerson Eppard added seven kills and three digs. Addison Bates finished with seven kills, while Lily VanHal had six kills and 25 assists. Emery Larson posted 16 digs and five aces. Katelynn Huntimer had seven digs. 

For Sioux Valley, Adison Renkly recorded nine kills and eight digs. Keyra Kruse posted five kills. Machaela Gerasch had nine assists and Sunny Hesby had eight assists. Elise Lemme recorded seven digs. Lemme had seven digs. 


Flandreau 3, Parker 0

FLANDREAU — The Flandreau girls swept Parker in three sets to earn a win in high school volleyball action Tuesday. Set scores were 26-24, 25-15 and 25-20. 

Claire Sheppard had another great all-around effort Tuesday with two aces, 11 kills and two blocks. Abby Schoebert had a team-leading 27 assists to go along with one block.Lily Klein led with three aces and 18 digs. Lizzy Pavlis had eight kills for Flandreau. 

Halle Berens led Parker with eight kills  while also digging out 11 balls for digs. Mara Mohr led the Pheasants with three aces and dished out a team-leading nine assists. Jenna Van Vekzen finished with an ace and five kills.


Mount Vernon/Plankinton 3, Gregory 1

PLANKINTON — Mount Vernon/Plankinton earned a hard-fought, four-set win over Gregory in high school football action Tuesday. Set scores were 25-14, 25-18, 21-25, 26-24. 

A well rounded team effort Tuesday with Vanessa Hoffman contributing seven kills and 26 assists Berkeley Engelland had 17 digs and four aces. Reagan Rus added 13 kills and three aces while Maryssa VanGorp had eight kills. Madalyn Lorang added seven kills and Taryn Hegg had three blocks.

Jordan Svatos led Gregory with 24 assists and 15 digs. Regan Graesser had eight kills and 23 digs while London Flakus contributed two blocks.


Highmore-Harrold 3, Lyman 0

HIGHMORE — Highmore-Harrold swept Lyman in Tuesday high school volleyball action. The set scores were 25-13, 25-23 and 25-21.

Highmore-Harrold’s Addison McDonnell finished with 10 kills, while Reghan Westcott added four kills and 13 digs. Brooklyn Baloun added 19 assists, while Kenidy Effling recorded 25 digs. Kendall Cermak posted three solo blocks. Jada Baloun had two aces and Brooklyn Baloun posted one ace. 

For Lyman, Brooke Palmer recorded seven kills and 32 digs. Skyler Volmer finished with three aces, six kills and 34 digs. Kenzie Laverdure posted 15 assists and Caysen Grann logged nine assists. Mak Scott had three blocks and Volmer had two blocks. 


Irene-Wakonda 3, Viborg-Hurley 2

VIBORG — Irene-Wakonda outlasted Viborg-Hurley in a five-set high school volleyball match on Tuesday. The set scores were 25-20, 25-13, 23-25, 23-25 and 15-13.

Irene-Wakonda’s Madison Orr recorded 11 kills, seven digs and five blocks. Zoey Anderson and Kaitlynn Mellem had four kills apiece. Anderson had 18 digs and three aces. Quinn McDonald posted 28 digs and three kills. Hailey Orr posted 12 assists and four digs. Emerson Flynn finished with nine assists, 13 digs, two kills and two aces. Addison Brockmueller had 15 digs.

For Viborg-Hurley, Addy Huth finished with nine kills, five digs and two blocks. Aubree Schwartz posted six kills and 15 digs. Charley Nelson had three kills and 40 digs. Danica Gordon had six kills and four digs. Jenna Graves posted 20 digs, 12 assists, two kills and two aces. Mataya Vannorsdel logged 18 digs and 10 assists. 


Wolsey-Wessington 3, Sunshine Bible Academy 0

MILLER — Wolsey-Wessington swept Sunshine Bible Academy in Tuesday high school volleyball action. The set scores were 25-8, 25-13 and 25-15.

Wolsey-Wessington’s Kailynn Dorris finished with 13 kills, while Lainey Uttecht had six kills. Payton Kemnitz had 14 assists and Kendal Uttecht had 10 assists. Shae Uttecht posted 27 digs and Kendal Uttecht posted 10 digs. Samara Clemente posted two blocks, while Tatum Luce had two aces. 

For SBA, Sadie Konechne had four kills and two aces. Betra Amare had one block, four digs, three aces and seven assists. Abby Hinman had eight assists, while Annalise VanZee had two kills and two blocks. Kennedy Keck logged four digs. 


Elkton-Lake Benton 3, Dell Rapids St. Mary 0

DELL RAPIDS — Behind Tevan Erickson’s big night Elkton-Lake Benton swept Dell Rapids St. Mary earned a Tuesday night volleyball win. Set scores were 25-16, 25-13 and 25-7.

Erickson filled the stat sheet in every category with three aces, 29 assists, two kills, two block assists and nine digs. Andrea Renkly led with thirteen kills while adding two aces and six digs. Kylie Ramlo had an ace, four assists, four blocks, a block assist and seven digs. Aubree Bales had four kills, a block, a block assist and 14 digs. 

Stats were not reported for Dell Rapids St. Mary. 


Garretson 3, West Central 0 

HARTFORD — The Garretson blue dragons earned a three-game road sweep of West Central to pick up a win in girls volleyball action Tuesday. Set scores were 25-22, 25-19 and 25-21. 

West Central’s Jocelyn Nilson stuffed the stat sheet with two aces and 23 digs. Izzy McKinney and Marissa Dobbs each had five kills with Dobbs contributing five assists. Ellie Lienhard had four assists, Landry Heath 20 gis and Addison Meadors and Kaia Gabbert each had a solo block. 

Garretson stats were not reported. 

 

Florence-Henry 3, Deuel 0

DEUEL — The Florence-Henry girls swept Deuel in straight sets to pick up a Tuesday night win in high school volleyball action. Set scores were 27-25, 25-16 and 25-10. 

Caylin Kelly powered the Falcons attack with 17 kills, 14 digs and three blocks. Taylor Watson finished with 10 kills and 11 digs while Kate Hulscher added five kills. Ashlann Vavruska had 35 assists and 14 digs for Florence-Henry. Kelly and Roean Rayer each had three blocks for the Falcons. 

Josie Andersen led the Deuel attacks with five kills and 12 assists. Ella Kerkvliet led Deuel with 15 digs with Kaitlyn Gubrud adding 11 digs. Sarah Jo Kreger had four assists while Annika Kriz had 10 digs for Deuel.  

 

Hitchcock-Tulare 3, Sanborn/Central/Woonsocket 0

HITCHCOCK — Hitchcock-Tulare swept Sanborn Central/Woonsocket in straight sets to pick up a win in Tuesday night volleyball action.Set scores were 25-12, 25-21 and 25-12. Katelyn Schroeder led Patriots with 15 kills while Ella Johnso contributed 10. 

Lila Johnson led with 30 assists. Ella Johnson led with four aces while Ella Johnson and Gracyn Bixler had 18 and 16 assists. 

Sanborn Central/Woonsocket was led by Kennah Ochsner and Liz Boschee had seven and five kills respectively. Kenzy Schley had 14 assists while Kali Hofer and Kenzey Schley each had an ace.

 

Linton-HMB, N.D., 3, Mobridge-Pollock 2

MOBRIDGE — Linton-HMB, North Dakota defeated Mobridge-Pollock in a five-set high school volleyball match. The set scores were 17-25, 25-19, 25-12, 16-25 and 15-9.

Mobridge-Pollock’s Ryli Thompson logged 16 kills, while Charley Henderson had 17 kills. Teagan Konold posted five kills. Katy Kemnitz logged 29 assists and Sophia Overland had 21 assists. 


Canistota 3, Sioux Falls Lutheran 1

SIOUX FALLS — Canistota defeated Sioux Falls Lutheran in a four-set high school volleyball match on Tuesday. The set scores were 25-21, 25-19, 24-26 and 25-13.

Canistota’s Sierra McGregor logged 14 kills, five aces, three assists and three digs. Natalee Hofer recorded 12 kills, 24 assists, 10 digs and two aces. Natalie Becker posted 37 digs. Bailey Spicer had 13 assists and five digs. Ember Schenkel had eight kills and three digs. Kayla Papendick logged six kills, 24 digs and three aces. Presley Acheson had 12 digs and three aces. Emma Sandmann had seven digs and three kills. 

Sioux Falls Lutheran stats were not reported. 


Aberdeen Roncalli 3, Milbank 1

MILBANK — Aberdeen Roncalli defeated Milbank in a four-set high school volleyball match on Tuesday. The set scores were 25-23, 23-25, 25-18 and 25-20.

Roncalli’s Ava Hanson finished with 13 kills, three aces and two block assists. Jaidyn Feickert posted 12 kills. Faith Danielson added 22 assists and three aces. Camryn Bain posted 34 digs, while McKenna O’Keefe had 18 digs. Maddie Huber had two block assists.

For Milbank, Rachel Schulte logged 18 kills, 15 assists and 27 digs. Skyler Skoog added 15 kills. Addisyn Krause posted 19 assists, while Ella Sandvig finished with 33 digs. Shaylee Schuchard had two block assists, while Claire Snaza had one solo block and two block assists. 


Sioux Falls Jefferson 3, Watertown 1

SIOUX FALLS — Class AA No. 2 Sioux Falls Jefferson dominated action Tuesday with a three-set sweep of Class AA No. 4 Watertown. Set scores  were 25-14, 25-15 and 25-16.

Isabel Simmons and Emory Brosnahan led the Jefferson hitters, each having eight kills. Brosnahan had five aces, three digs and a block assist while Cora Hokenstad had an ace, a dig and a team-leading 17 digs. Presley Pastian had three kills, 25 assists and seven digs. Averi Schmitt had 12 digs while Ella Kvernmo came up with 10 digs. 


Sioux Falls Washington 3, Brandon Valley 0

SIOUX FALLS — Class AA No. 3 Sioux Falls Washington swept Brandon Valley in Tuesday high school volleyball action. The set scores were 25-21, 25-18 and 25-18.

Brandon Valley’s Jersie Melcher posted nine kills and one ace. Abby Gruber logged seven kills. Jayaunna Stroh had 10 digs, one ace and one block. Sydney Benson logged seven digs. Kennedi Boomsma and Ashley Ertelt had two blocks and one block, respectively. Riya Sheley had 30 assists. Benson had one ace. 

Sioux Falls Washington stats were not reported.
