CUSTER — Rapid City Christian’s Lionel Hinson won the 1,600 meter run (4:44.48) and 3,200-meter run (10:19.90) to highlight action at Wednesday’s Custer Invitational. 

Adam Stines was the other winner for Rapid City Christian winning the high jump (6-01). 

The Wall boys had a successful day on the track with Tanner Volmer winning the 300-meter hurdles (:41.64). Volmer ran a leg on the winning 1,600-meter (3:37.46). Wall also captured the 800-meter relay (1:36.09).

The Douglas boys picked up wins from Brock Morgan in the 110-meter hurdles (:16.53). The Douglas boys won the 400-meter relay (:46.06) and the 3,200-meter relay (8:35.07). 

The Custer boys fared well with Danny Immormino winning the 100-meter dash (:11.86), Sean Shipp the 800-meter run (2:08.88) and Roland Sedlacek winning the javelin (147-07). 

Other winners for the boys were Kyler Zolnowsky of Rapid Stevens in the 200-meter dash (:24.70), Dax Frandsen of Hill City in the 400-meter dash (:51.41), Jayden Routt of Rapid City Central in the shot put (45-03), Cashus Hunter of Little Wound in the long jump (20-02.50) and Adam Odland of Rapid City Stevens in the triple jump (39-06.5). 

Custer’s Jayda Bennett won the 100-meter dash (:13.11) and 200-meter dash (:27.37). Other winners for the Wildcats were Keira Alfson in the 800-meter run (2:37.79), Karyn Ellerton in the shot put (36-05.25) and discus (135-02).

Mahpiya Luta’s Ashlan Carlow-Blount won the 100-meter hurdles (:16.62) and 300-meter hurdles (:50.75).

The Hot Springs girls picked up a win from Ashlynn Elshere in the 400-meter dash (1:00.99). The Bison also won the 400-meter relay (:52.30) and 800-meter relay (1:51.68). 

Other winners for the girls were Belle Fourche’s Lia Mundt in the 1,600-meter run (5:33.48), Rapid City Christian’s Taylor Harrelson in the 3,200-meter run (13:17.62), Rapid City Central’s Leah Landry in the javelin (111-10), Newell’s Rachel Erk in the high jump (5-00), New Underwood’s Emmalee Scott in the long jump (14-08) and Pine Ridge’s Louise Pond in the triple jump (32-07.75).

Wall won the 1,600-meter relay (4:32.74) and Belle Fourche won the 3,200-meter relay (10:50.00).
