Riley Rothschadl no-hitter sends Bon Homme to Class B title game

SIOUX FALLS — Riley Rothschadl came up big when Bon Homme need him to at the most. 

Facing the two-time defending champions Dell Rapids with a spot in the Class B title game on the line, Rothschadl pitched a no hitter while striking out 16 in the Cavaliers win Tuesday afternoon. 

The senior ended the afternoon with 100 pitches while allowing three walks. 

Rothschadl tripled in the third inning and later scored to give Bon Homme a 1-0 lead. 

The Cavaliers added four runs in the fifth to bust the game open. 

Jack Henry took the loss for Dell Rapids, pitching 4 1/3 innings, giving up five runs on five hits. He walked four and struck out five. 

The Cavaliers advances to the Class B championship game where they will face Tea. Tea defeated Dakota Valley 3-2 in eight innings earlier in the day.
