Sully Buttes 3, Lyman 2

PRESHO — Sully Buttes rallied back from a 2-1 deficit and slipped past Lyman for a Thursday high school volleyball win. The set scores were 25-23, 17-25, 22-25, 26-24 and 15-10. 


Avon 3, Scotland 0

AVON — Avon swept Scotland in Thursday high school volleyball action. The set scores were 25-12, 25-11 and 25-11.

Avon’s Courtney Sees finished with 11 kills and 10 digs. Lila Vanderlei added five kills and three blocks. Kaeli Wallinga posted four kills. Jordyn Voigt recorded 14 digs, while McKenna Kocmich logged 11 digs and 19 assists. Kocmich added three aces and Macy Voigt had two aces. Kinley Doom had two blocks. 

Scotland stats were not reported. 


Ethan 3, Corsica-Stickney 1

CORSICA — Ethan earned a four-set high school volleyball match win over Corsica-Stickney on Thursday. The set scores were 25-14, 23-25, 25-17 and 25-18.

Ethan’s Ava Lingemann finished with 23 kills and 28 digs. Rachel Klock added nine kills, six digs and two aces. Maddy Bartscher added 40 assists, 14 digs and three kills. Claire Mellengaard posted three kills and 23 digs. Rachel Weisz posted 26 digs. Makenna Termeer had nine digs and three kills. 

For Corsica-Stickney, Sophia DeLange recorded 17 kills, 16 assists, 11 digs, two blocks and two aces. Braylee Bordewyk added nine kills, 14 assists, eight digs and one ace. Ashlyn Lefers recorded 14 digs and four kills. Brooklyn Bosma had six digs, four kills and three blocks. Jacey Kemp posted 16 digs and five kills. Cali Vanden Hoek had 16 digs. 


Northwestern 3, Ipswich 0

IPSWICH — Class B No. 3 Northwestern swept Ipswich in Thursday high school volleyball action. The set scores were 25-15, 25-11 and 25-9.

Northwestern’s Ashley Haven logged 15 kills and 11 digs. Payton Grandpre posted 11 kills and seven digs. Ana Ratigan logged five kills and one block. Ella Boekelheide finished with 30 assists and five aces. Tara Blachford posted five aces. 

For Ipswich, Marley Guthmiller finished with seven kills and Gabby Wald added five kills. Reaghan Bowers posted 10 assists, while Josie Knutson posted three assists. Bowers had five digs and Wald added four digs.  


Hitchcock-Tulare 3, Highmore-Harrold 0

HIGHMORE – Hitchcock-Tulare earned a straight sets volleyball win over Highmore-Harrold in Thursday night volleyball action. Set scores were 25-12, 25-12 and 25-15. 

Powering Hitchcock-Tulare Thursday was Rebecca Huizenga who led with 12 kills. Katelyn Schroeder had a big all around night with 11 kills and 19 digs. Ella Johnson led with three aces. Lila Jo Johnson led with 28 assists.

Highmore-Harrold stats were not reported. 


Chester 3, Howard 0

CHESTER — Class B No. 2 Chester swept Howard in straight sets in Thursday high school volleyball action. The set scores were 25-8, 25-9 and 25-12.

Chester’s Jacy Wolf finished with 13 kills and five assists. Lily VanHal added 29 assists, seven digs and nine aces. Addison Bates had two blocks and Emery Larson posted eight digs. 

Howard stats were not reported. 


Milbank 3, Florence-Henry 1

FLORENCE — Milbank picked up a four-set high school volleyball win over Florence-Henry on Thursday. The set scores were 25-13, 27-29, 26-24 and 25-17.

Florence-Henry’s Caylin Kelly finished with 24 kills, 32 digs and five blocks. Taylor Watson added 17 kills and 26 digs. Kaija Gusso logged 40 assists and 18 digs. 

Milbank stats were not reported.


Kimball/White Lake 3, Winner 2 

KIMBALL — Kimball/White Lake clipped Winner in a five-set high school volleyball match on Thursday. The set scores were 25-21, 25-17, 22-25, 24-26 and 16-14.

Kimball/White Lake’s Ryann Nielsen finished with 23 kills, 15 assists, 20 digs and two blocks. Harley Namanny added 10 kills, 29 assists and 15 digs. Rylee McCord logged 10 kills, 15 digs and three blocks. Sienna Gillen added 17 digs, while Lindy Kiehn had seven kills and five blocks. Madison Meier posted 10 assists, 36 digs and two aces.

For Winner, Keelie Kuil recorded 16 kills and 46 digs. Lexi Klein added 20 assists and 27 digs. Adysen Pravecek had 34 digs and two aces. Gracie Root recorded 15 assists and two aces. Livvy Audiss posted six kills and five blocks. Karlee Brozik finished with seven kills, five digs and four blocks.


Miller 3, Faulkton Area 1

MILLER — Miller picked up a four-set high school volleyball win over Faulkton Area on Thursday. The set scores were 25-18, 25-15, 18-25 and 25-16.

Miller’s Aleah Schlechter posted 15 kills, while Paige Werdel added 12 kills. Shaylee Anderberg and Gracen Werdel had four kills apiece. Anderberg finished with 12 digs. Heather Resel finished with 29 assists and 12 digs, while Jolie Palmer posted 21 digs and five assists. Journey Palmer added 16 digs. Journey Palmer, Jolie Palmer and Anderberg each had aces.  

For Faulkton Area, Kelli Stoecker finished with nine kills and one block. Carley Cotton added seven kills, 17 digs and one ace. Anna Aesoph posted 15 digs. Micah Martinmaas added 15 assists and Tegan Baloun had 11 assists. 


Hamlin 3, Tiospa Zina 0

HAYTI — Hamlin swept Tiospa Zina in Thursday high school volleyball action. The set scores were 25-19, 25-11 and 25-16.

Hamlin’s Addison Neuendorf recorded 10 kills, six digs, four aces and one block. Emily Everson recorded nine kills. Marissa Bawdon finished with seven aces and 26 assists. Addie Johnson added eight assists. Grace Opdahl posted five digs. 

Tiospa Zina stats were not reported. 


Bridgewater-Emery 3, Viborg-Hurley 0

HURLEY — Bridgewater-Emery swept Viborg-Hurley in Thursday high school volleyball action. The set scores were 25-16, 25-12 and 25-8.

Bridgewater-Emery’s Lexi Golder finished with 10 kills, seven digs, three blocks and two aces. Oakley Weber added seven kills and 13 assists. Sierra Weber posted six kills, while Kennedie Roskens added 11 digs and two aces. Madison Fisk had six kills. Hayden Hofer posted 15 assists, 15 digs, seven aces and three kills. 

For Viborg-Hurley, Aubree Schwartz finished with four kills, while Abby Huth had two kills, two blocks and five digs. Charley Nelson added 22 digs and two assists. Mataya Vannorsdel recorded nine digs and five assists. Jenna Graves recorded nine digs. Kyla Peterson posted two kills and two digs. 


Elkton-Lake Benton 3, De Smet 0

ELKTON — Elkton-Lake Benton swept De Smet in Thursday high school volleyball play. The set scores were 25-15, 25-6 and 25-10.

Elkton-Lake Benton’s Kylie Ramlo finished with five kills, 10 digs, two blocks and three aces. Charlie Thooft added five kills, seven digs, two aces and one block. Aubree Bales posted five kills, six digs and four blocks. Andrea Renkly added four kills, three digs and three aces. Tevan Erickson finished with 17 assists, four kills, six digs and three blocks. Erickson also recorded her 1,000th career dig.

Madde Jensen posted five kills, four digs and three aces. Jocelyn Prosch finished with three aces and Kadence Olberding had nine aces. Payton Kuehl finished with six digs and two aces, while Abbie Timm logged five digs. 

De Smet’s Hazel Luethmers logged eight kills and two aces. Megan Dylla added five assists and three digs. Mirra Beck finished with two kills and four digs. Alyssa Asleson posted five assists and two digs.  


Deubrook Area 3, Dell Rapids St. Mary 0

DEUBROOK — Deubrook Area swept Dell Rapids St. Mary to earn a win in high school volleyball action Tuesday. Set scores were 25-17, 25-16 and 25-18. 

Zoey Molengraaf led with eight kills and two aces. Mattie Bauman six kills, 13 assists and two aces. Delaney Pederson and Hannah Kjelden each had 12 digs for Deubrook Area.

Jaycee Tobay led Dell Rapids St. Mary with nine kills while Brianna Griffin dished out 33 assists. Brianna Lindeman had two aces for the Cardinals.


Castlewood 3, Arlington 0

ARLINGTON — Castlewood swept Arlington in straight sets in Thursday high school volleyball action. The set scores were 26-24, 25-20 and 25-18.

Castlewood’s Presley Knecht finished with 15 kills, 18 digs and three aces. Emerson Carter added four kills and four blocks. Gracie Haug posted 20 assists, 19 digs and two blocks. Kylie Wittnebel added 11 digs. Kailyn Larson had two aces. Kelly Goens posted two blocks. 

For Arlington, Addalyn Steffensen recorded 12 kills and 17 digs. Harley Johnson added 11 kills and 20 digs. Isabelle Steffensen finished with 29 assists and two aces. 


Colman-Egan 3, Iroquois/Lake Preston 0

COLMAN — Class B No. 5 Colman-Egan swept Iroquois/Lake Preston in Thursday high school volleyball play. The set scores were 25-19, 25-17 and 25-22.

Colman-Egan’s Daniela Lee finished with 10 kills, 17 digs and two blocks. Lanie Mousel added six kills and 13 assists. Kaylee Voelker finished with 12 assists and 10 digs. Elaina Rhode logged eight kills. Presley Luze added 16 digs.

For Iroquois/Lake Preston, Adison Moore recorded six kills and 10 digs. Hadlee Holt logged four kills, five blocks, 14 digs and two aces. Elena Campangalo had four aces and 16 digs. Rebecca Bich posted 19 assists, while Faith Steffensen added 18 digs, three kills and two blocks. Kera Dubro had five kills and seven digs. 


Redfield 3, Britton-Hecla 1

REDFIELD — Redfield defeated Britton-Hecla in a four-set high school volleyball match on Thursday. The set scores were 18-25, 27-25, 25-8 and 25-20.

Redfield’s Katie Rozell recorded 15 kills and five blocks. Kinley Smith added nine kills. Chloe Zens finished with four aces and 15 digs. Hayden Gall posted 24 assists. Chloe Zens and Charli Jungwirth had four and two aces, respectively. 

For Britton-Hecla, Kaegan Frederickson finished with eight kills and Tiyanna Schott added seven kills. Emma Kraft had four blocks. Annika Tank had 18 digs and Addison Wade posted 10 digs.


West Central 3, Chamberlain 0

HARTFORD — West Central swept Chamberlain in straight sets in Thursday high school volleyball play. The set scores were 25-16, 25-20 and 25-10.

West Central’s Marissa Dobbs finished with six kills, six aces and nine assists. Adisyn Bartmann posted six kills, while Ellie Lienhard added eight assists. Jocelyn Nilson and Landry Heath posted 14 and 12 digs, respectively. Addison Meadors, Cambree Ideker and Maddy Ingalls each had solo blocks. 

Chamberlain stats were not reported. 


Baltic 3, Flandreau 0

FLANDREAU — Baltic swept Flandreau in straight sets in Thursday high school volleyball action. The set scores were 25-18, 25-11 and 25-23.

Flandreau’s Claire Sheppard finished with five kills and three blocks. Lizzie Pavlis posted five kills and three aces. Abby Schoberl recorded nine assists and 12 digs, while Olivia Peters had three assists. Lily Klein added 14 digs.

Rapid City Christian 3, Custer 0

RAPID CITY — Rapid City Christian swept Custer in Thursday high school volleyball action. The set scores were 25-13, 25-14 and 25-20.

Rapid City Christian’s Faith King finished with four digs, nine aces, eight kills and 17 assists. Ana Egge added 11 kills, four digs and two aces. Kendall Glassbrenner finished with seven kills. Moriah Coyle added 13 assists. Chloe Weber posted four kills. Lydia Williams had four blocks and Ellie Utecht logged five digs.


Dell Rapids 3, Tri-Valley 0

COLTON — Class A No. 4 Dell Rapids swept Tri-Valley in straight sets in Thursday high school volleyball action. The set scores were 25-19, 25-10 and 25-8.

Dell Rapids’ Madelynn Henry finished with 13 kills, three aces and one block. Lauryn Kloth added 11 kills. Elin Schoenhard posted five kills and two aces. Kylee Fiddelke finished with five aces, while Sophi Randall added 27 assists, one block and nine digs.

Tri-Valley stats were not reported. 


Estelline/Hendricks 3, Oldham-Ramona-Rutland 0

HENDRICKS, Minn. — Estelline/Hendricks swept Oldham-Ramona-Rutland in straight sets in a Thursday high school volleyball action. The set scores were 25-15, 25-18 and 25-12.

ORR’s Camlin Schneider finished with six kills and Julia Trygstad posted three kills. Rylan Pearson added five assists and Emily had four assists. Alivia Padgett and Trygstad had eight digs apiece. 

Estelline-Hendricks stats were not reported. 


Brandon Valley 3, Tea Area 0

TEA — Brandon Valley swept Tea Area in Thursday high school volleyball action. The set scores were 26-24, 25-10 and 25-14.

Brandon Valley’s Jayaunna Stroh finished with nine kills, while Jersie Melcher added eight kills. Alli Gawarecki finished with 14 digs and three aces. Lexi Gawarecki posted 12 digs. Abby Gruber and Kennedi Boomsma added four and three blocks, respectively. Riya Sheley dished out 27 assists.
