MITCHELL — Aberdeen Central turned turnovers into points in a Kernel Bowl win over Mitchell on Saturday.

The Golden Eagles returned two interceptions for touchdowns, including a Brayden Comstock pick-six with 1:42 left. Cordel Rychlik intercepted two passes, one a pick-six in the second quarter and another to seal it in the fourth quarter. 

Aberdeen Central’s Parker Lemer added a five-yard touchdown run in the win. 

Mitchell’s Parker Denne scored a 25-yard touchdown run.

MOUNT VERNON — Rapid City Christian blanked Mount Vernon/Plankinton in Saturday high school football action.

Rapid City Christian’s Simon Kieffer accounted for three touchdowns, two passing and one run. He threw passing touchdowns to Malachi Maseman and Wes Schlabach. Braylon Marshall added a rushing touchdown for the Comets.
