FORT PIERRE — Miller captured the Big Dakota Conference volleyball championship on Saturday. The Rustlers defeated Cheyenne-Eagle Butte (25-11, 25-12), McLaughlin (25-11, 25-8), Winner (25-19, 25-22) and Mobridge-Pollock (25-19, 25-16) in the tournament.

In the title match against Mobridge-Pollock, Aleah Schlechter led the Rustlers with 10 kills and Paige Werdel added seven kills. Heather Resel logged 24 assists, six digs and two aces. Gracen Werdel and Kate Lichty posted three kills apiece. Jolie Palmer had 14 digs, while Journey Palmer posted eight digs. Shaylee Anderberg finished with five digs. 

For Mobridge-Pollock, Charley Henderson finished with six kills and four digs. Ryli Thompson added three kills and five digs. Reagan Weisbeck recorded two aces and 11 digs. Katy Kemnitz and Sophia Overland had seven and six assists, respectively. Raelyn Aberle had seven digs and Kemnitz posted five digs. 

Rapid City Christian 3, Red Cloud 0

PINE RIDGE — Rapid City Christian swept Red Cloud in straight sets in Saturday high school volleyball action. The set scores were 25-14, 25-16 and 25-6.

Rapid City Christian’s Anna Egge finished with 13 kills, 10 digs and four aces. Kendall Glassbrenner added nine kills, four digs and four aces. Faith King logged 21 assists, six kills, six digs and one ace. Moriah Coyle finished with 16 assists and two aces. Sophie DeWitt finished with 10 digs. Chloe Weber finished with four kills and six digs. Lydia Williams had four kills and one block. Paisley Griffith finished with four aces.
