MITCHELL — The Sioux Falls Brewers captured their third Class A state amateur baseball championship on Sunday at Cadwell Park.

James Borges finished with four hits and drove in three runs for the Brewers, who scored four runs in the eighth to 10-run rule Renner in the finals. Nick Smith had three hits and drove in two runs. Sam Baier, Sam Siegel and Ian Strum each had two hits. T.J. Miller, Josh Kunzmann and Charles Dubanoski each had hits. 

Bryce Ahrendt earned MVP honors after he allowed three earned runs on eight hits and walked one batter in his six-inning start.

For Renner, Jaxon Rosencranz had three hits and drove in a run. Mitch Stroh and Tyler Peyton each had two hits for Renner. Cole Kraemer took the loss after allowing three earned runs on seven hits and walked two batters.
