GARRETSON — Sioux Falls Christian swept the girls and boys team titles at the Region 2A cross-country meet Wednesday at River Ridge Golf Course in Garretson.

The Sioux Falls Christian girls dominated the team title finishing with a final score of 13, followed by West Central (43) and Flandreau (46). The Chargers finished the race with four of the top-5 runners. Ellie Maddox won the individual title with a time of 17:15.98, followed by Flandreau’s Faith Wiese at 17:27.65. SFC’s Sadie Pettengill (17:45.60), Jerica Glasser (17:52.89) and Natalie Smith (18:22.38) rounded out the top-5.

The Chargers also dominated in the boys race finishing with 17 points, followed by Garretson (51) and West Central (66). SFC’s Wesley Lyon took first place individually with a time of 16:02.79, followed by West Central’s Peyton Tetzlaff (16:13.05) and Madison’s Dylan Gerdes (16:18.91). SFC’s Levi Vander Leest (16:27.12) and Simon Roelofs (16:35.75) rounded out the top-5 on the boys side.
