Sioux Falls Christian teams sweep cross-country titles at Charger Invitational

SIOUX FALLS — The Sioux Falls Christian girls and boys both had convincing wins at Tuesday’s Charger Invitational contested at Yankton Trail Park. 

The Sioux Falls Christian girls scored 15 points, well ahead of Lennox (40) and West Central (57). The Sioux Falls Christian boys scored 22 points, ahead of West Central (52) and Lennox (60). 

Sadie Pettengill of Sioux Falls Christian (18:56) edged teammate Natalie Smith (18:57) as the Chargers finished first and second, ahead of Dell Rapids’ Rorie Thoreson (19:34) who was third. 

Dakota Valley’s Jack Brown won the boys race 16:33 ahead of West Central’s Peyton Tetzlaff (16:57) and Sioux Falls Christian’s Levi Vander Leest (17:01).
