CUSTER — Belle Fourche’s Lennon Clarkson and Spearfish’s Kori Keil captured individual titles at Thursday’s Eldon Knudson Invitational. 

Clarkson covered the 5,000-meter distance at Rocky Knolls Golf Course in 17 minutes and :15.12, finishing ahead of Sturgis’ Quinn Bruch (17:52.24) and Spearfish’s Mason Gill (18:15.67). Custer’s Kian Rusch (18:16.16) and Peyton Krueger (18:17.31) rounded out the top-five runners. 

Keil won the girls race in 20:04.31, finishing ahead of Rapid City Christian’s Taylor Harrelson (21:07.37) and Spearfish’s Sierra Sandford (21:31.27). Sturgis’ Lucy Hamer (21:41.00) and Spearfish’s Lauryn Donovan (21:42.45) rounded out the top-five finishers.

The Custer boys won the team title with 22 points, finishing ahead of Spearfish (25) and Belle Fourche (35). 

The Spearfish girls won the team title with 11 points, finishing ahead of Belle Fourche (26) and Custer (68).
