BELLE FOURCHE —- The Sturgis girls and Rapid City Central girls each handily won titles at Thursday’s Belle Fourche Invitational run at the Belle Fourche Country Club. 

The Sturgis girls won the team title with 23 points, ahead of Rapid City Central (45) and Belle Fourche (54). 

The Rapid City Central boys won the team title, ahead of Belle Fourche (56). Cheyenne-Eagle Butte (63) and Newcastle, Wyo. (84) rounded out the top-four teams. 

Lia Mundt of Belle Fourche (20:09) and Yadriel Munoz of Rapid City Central (17:00) each won individual titles.

James Valley Christian teams win 281 Conference Meet

WESSINGTON SPRINGS — The James Valley Christian boys and girls cross-country teams each posted eight points to win titles at Wednesday’s 281 Conference meet. 

The James Valley Christian girls won the team title with eight points, ahead of Highmore-Harrold (25). Wessington Springs (27) and Wolsey-Wessington (28) rounded out the top-four teams. 

The James Valley Christian boys won the team title with eight points, ahead of Highmore-Harrold (19) and Sunshine Bible Academy (24).
