With the calendar set on turning the page to 2022 Brandon Valley, as noted by the most recent Class A poll, looks to be in contention for a state title in February. The Lynx are projected to score 196 points with Pierre projected to score 144. Harrisburg, Rapid City Stevens, Sturgis and Watertown also appear to be in the mix. 

One team to keep an eye on is the John Niesen-coached Tea Area Titans. After finishing in the top-10 at the recent Rapid City Invitational, the Titans are currently the ninth-rated team in Class A. The Titans have nine wrestlers in the Class A rankings this week, including Maddix Slykhuls who is top ranked at (120). 

 

The Titans high team ranking comes as a bit of a surprise as they will be wrestling without 2-time state champion, Quincy Hulverson who is nursing a shoulder injury.
