Parkston 52, Winner 40

PARKSTON —- Parkston picked up a home win over Winner in Thursday night high school basketball action. 

Brycen Bruening paced Parkston with 17 points coming off the bench. Luke Borman also reached double figures with 11 points while Will Jodozi also added 11 points. 

Aiden Barfuss led Winner with13 points while Ryder Halligan chipped in with eight points. Shawn Hammerbeck finished with seven points while Zac Olson and Carter Craven each chipped in with six points.


Deuel 53, Britton-Hecla 41

BRITTON —- A big night from Trey Maaland helped Deuel pick up a road win over Britton-Hecla in boys basketball action Thursday night.

Maaland knocked down 4 3-pointers on his way to a game high 28 points, four rebounds and an assist. Gabe Sather and Jaxon  Peterreins each scored nine points for Deuel. 

Jaxon  Zuehlke paced Britton-Hecla with 11 points. Daniel Person added nine points and Ty Fargerland chipped in with eight points.  


Avon 73, Colome 63

AVON —- The Avon Pirates capitalized on big nights from Landon Thury and Aziah Meyer to earn a win over Colome in boys basketball action Thursday. 

Thury led Avon with 22 points, 12 rebounds, three steals and four assists. Meyer also scored 22 points, grabbed eight rebounds and dished out four assists. Al’Shamon Gunter had eight points while Paxton Bierema scored seven points. 

Joseph Laprath paced Colome with 23 points and eight steals. Seth Heath scored 14 points, grabbed four rebounds and dished out three assists. Jack Anderson had 10 points and nine rebounds for Colome. 

Sioux Falls Washington 61, Huron 53

HURON — Four players reached double-figure scoring as Sioux Falls Washington picked up a win over Huron in boys basketball action Thursday. 

Thomas Hoffman powered the Warriors with 22 points and three rebounds. Lucas Johnson and Jhace Woods each had 11 points and Samuel Baskin added 10 points, three rebounds and an assist. 

Gavin Moeding led Huron with 14 points and four rebounds. CJ Gainey and Blake Ellwein each recorded nine points for the Tigers.
