The year 2022 was a coming out party for Bon Homme multi-sport standout Isaac Crownover.

In February, representing the Bon Homme/Scotland/Avon wrestling team, Crownover captured a Class B wrestling title at (182) with a 3-2 win over Winner’s Jack Kruger.

In May, Crownover won Region 5A titles in the 100 meter dash (10.98) and 200 meter dash (22.84). At the State A track meet, Crownover finished eighth in the 100 meter dash (11.57), eighth in the 200 meter dash (23.61). As a junior, Crownover just missed the Class A 400 meter dash final, running a 51.46 to finish 9th.

This fall the 6-foot-1, 205-pound senior helped lead the Cavaliers to a 6-4 record where they lost to eventual state champ Wall, 20-12, in the Class 9AA quarterfinals. Crownover capped his football career by being selected to the Class 9AA All-State football team.

Multiple South Dakota colleges are courting Crownover to play football, wrestle and even run track.

In February of 2021 Crownover was the No. 2 seed (152) at the Class B state wrestling tournament. The night before competition began his grandmother, his biggest supporter died and Crownover finished in fifth place.

Crownover shared with 605 Sports that exquisite moment of winning the 2022 state title and sharing that experience with his family and talks about his career as a member of the Cavalier athletic programs.
