CASPER, Wyo. — Wall High School graduate and Tarleton State University saddle bronc rider Cash Wilson is in fourth place after two rounds at the College National Finals Rodeo.

The junior has a two-round average of 150 points, highlighted by a 79-point ride in Sunday’s matinee performance. Wilson added a 71-point ride during Monday’s slack performance. Wilson will ride again Wednesday.

Wilson’s teammate, Brody Wells, is currently in third place in the saddle bronc standings (153-point average). They trailed McNeese State saddle bronc riders — Ryder Sanford (163) and Shea Fournier (153.5) — in the overall standings.

Wilson’s season highlight includes a first-place finish at Ranger College, where Tarleton State won the team title. Tarleton State, located in Stephenville, Texas, competes in the Southwest Region of the National Intercollegiate Rodeo Association.

Tarleton State is currently tied with Missouri Valley College for No. 2 in the men’s standings at the CNFR. McNeese State (305) is in first place.
