Week 5 Class B Wrestling Rankings - Burk Blasius is Wrestler of the Week after runner-up finish at the Rumble on the Red

Philip Area’s Burk Blasius was named Dakota Grappler’s Wrestler of the Week after a runner-up performance at the Rumble on the Red tournament in Fargo, North Dakota. 

Blasius reached the finals of a very tough tournament, losing 2-0 to three-time North Dakota state champion, LJ Araujo. 

There are no changes in the top-five Class B teams as Canton received 163 points in this week's Dakota Grappler rankings, ahead of Philip Area (142) and Custer (113). Kimball/White Lake/Platte-Geddes (104) and Winner Area (89) round out the top-five teams. 

The biggest mover in this week’s team rankings is Wagner which jumped from No. 11 to No. 6 (83 points) points after an 8th-place finish at the Floyd Farrand Invitational. 

Webster’s Headen Jorgenson takes over the top spot at 138 after knocking off former No. 1 Kellen Hurd (MHH), 6-2 in the finals of the Webster Holiday Tournament. 

A number of wrestlers moving to different weight classes reflected in this week’s poll.  

Clark/Willow Lake’s Cooper Pommer moves from No. 8 at 120 to No. 3 at 113. Wagner’s Karstyn Lhotak moves from No. 4  at 138 to No. 2  at 132. A number of changes in the (144) weight class as Philip Area’s Jace Blasius goes from No. 3 at 150 to No. 1 at 144. Groton Area’s Christian Ehresmann also moved from 150 to 144 where he is ranked No. 3 this week.
