ARLINGTON — Flandreau’s Faith Wiese and Elkton-Lake Benton’s Nate Timm won titles at Monday’s Arlington Invitational run at the Lake Region golf course. 

Wiese covered the 5,000-meter course in 19:01, ahead of Arlington’s Kaelyn Ulschmid (21:28) and Flandreau’s Calla Wiese (21:55). Timm won the boys race in 18:12 ahead of Castlewood’s Nolan Eidson and Arlington’s Lance Kaufman (19:02).

The Flandreau girls won the team title with 10 points. The Flandreau Indian boys won the team title with 13 points.

JVC’s Dax Frandsen, CWL’s Kamryn Nesheim win titles at Webster Invitational 

WEBSTER — James Valley Christian’s Dax Frandsen and Clark/Willow Lake’s Kamryn Nesheim captured individual titles at Monday’s Webster Invitational.

Frandsen covered the 5,000-meter distance at Webster Golf Course in 18-minutes and :12.81 seconds, finishing ahead of Sisseton’s Ryder Graff (18:13.49). James Valley Christian’s Kaden Ober (18:28.43) and Frederick Area’s Milo Sumption (18:32.29) finished third and fourth, respectively. Faulkton Area’s Korbin Stark (18:43.60) finished fifth.

Nesheim covered the 5,000-meter distance in 20:30.28, finishing ahead of Deuel’s Jaycee Hourigan (20:48.30). JVC’s Hadash Olson (21:12.79) and Potter County’s Dannika Kaup (21:23.61) placed third and fourth, respectively. CWL’s Faith Roehrich (21:24.68) placed fifth. 

In the boys team standings, Frederick Area (33) edged Deuel (35) and James Valley Christian (36) for the title. 

In the girls team standings, Clark/Willow Lake (28) finished ahead of James Valley Christian (38) and Potter County (53).
