MILLER — The Winner boys and Wolsey-Wessington girls won team titles at Tuesday’s Miller Booster Club track and field meet. 

The Winner boys racked up 177 points, well ahead of Sunshine Bible Academy (88) and James Valley Christian (88). Wolsey-Wessington (83) and Miller (79) rounded out the top five teams. 

The Wolsey-Wessington girls racked up 188 points, ahead of Chamberlain (134) and James Valley Christian (87). Miller (66) and Wessington Springs (57).

Winner won several events with Kellen Brozik winning the 400-meter dash (:52.51), Karson Keiser the 800-meter run (2:06.15), Austin Blare in the 300-meter hurdles (:42.21), Legend Benedict in the shot put (43-01.5), Shawn Hammerbeck the discus (169-05) and Derek Fenenga in the javelin (147-00).

Brozik, Keiser, Jackson Bachmann and Austin Blare teamed up to win the 1,600-meter relay (3:30.81). 

Other winners for the boys were James Valley Christian’s Isaac Wipf in the 100-meter dash (:12.10), Miller’s Kellan Hurd in the 200-meter dash (:24.78), James Valley Christian’s Kaden Ober in the 1,600-meter run (4:53.78), Miller’s Pierce Baumberger in the 3,200-meter run (10:50.31), Miller’s Isaak Hunter in the 110-meter hurdles (:15.68), Wipf in the long jump (18-07.25) and Sunshine Bible Academy’s Tarrence Michelson in the triple jump (37-07.50). 

Miller won the 400-meter relay (:46.98), Chamberlain the 800-meter relay (1:38.39). Sunshine Bible Academy won the 3,200-meter relay (9:29.51) and sprint medley relay (4:24.51).

The Wolsey-Wessington girls got wins from Abby Huntsinger in the 200-meter dash (:28.62), Kendal Uttecht in the 800-meter run (2:26.57), Tatum Luce in the high jump (5-00) and Samara Clemente in the triple jump (33-02.00). 

Winner’s Keelie Kuil won the 400-meter dash (1:01.35) and anchored the Warriors to wins in the 400-meter relay (:52.41) and 800-meter relay (1:49.21). The Warriors also won the 1,600-meter relay (4:23.50).

James Valley Christian’s Dara Olowu-Davies won the 100-meter hurdles (:19.67) and 300-meter hurdles (:55.87). 

Other winners for the girls were Sunshine Bible Academy’s Abby Hinman in the 100-meter dash (:13.92), Chamberlain’s Daniya Dakam in the 1,600–meter run (5:51.05), James Valley Christian’s Hadasah Olson in the 3,200-meter run (13:29.02), Wessington Springs’ Anna Arhart in the shot put (35-04), Chamberlain’s Piper Powell in the discus (106-07) and high jump (98-07) and Miller’s Paige Werdel in the long jump (14-07.50)
