Aberdeen Central cruises to Class AA girls golf team championship

SIOUX FALLS — Aberdeen Central cruised to a Class AA girls golf championship.

The Golden Eagles (625) won the team championship by 18 strokes, with Mitchell (643), Rapid City Stevens (674), O’Gorman (696) and Sioux Falls Jefferson (704) rounding out the top five in team standings.

Individually, Aberdeen Central’s Olivia Braun led the standings shooting four under par 140. Braun recorded 13 birdies across 36 holes to win the individual championship. Mitchell’s Maddie Childs (148), Spearfish’s Alison Kennedy (152), and Aberdeen Central’s Emma Dohrer (154) and Kyley Wirebaugh (157) round out the top five individual performers.
