MCLAUGHLIN — The McLaughlin Mustangs completed a perfect regular season in All-Nations Football Conference action on Oct. 16. 

The Mustangs ran past Cheyenne-Eagle Butte/Tiospaye Topa, 72-22, polishing off an 8-0 regular-season record. 

McLaughlin, which dropped down from Class 9A to Class 9B this season, earned the No. 1 seed in Class 9B this season. The Mustangs will play the Crazy Horse vs. Marty winner in the semifinal round on Oct. 31. 

Winnebago runs past Omaha Nation, caps off regular season with 8-0 record 

WINNEBAGO, Neb. — Winnebago, Nebraska, capped off the regular season with an 8-0 record in All-Nations Football Conference action on Oct. 16.

The Indians rolled past Omaha Nation, Nebraska, 55-6, and earned the No. 1 in Class 9A. Against Omaha Nation, Winnebago racked up 339 total yards. Elijah Whitebear tossed a pair of passing touchdown passes and Adarius Flemister rushed for 77 yards and a touchdown. Whitebear hauled in a touchdown reception. Melvin Hulit passed for a touchdown and added a rushing score. Raiden DeCora added a rushing touchdown. Rahkim Free-Bass hauled in a touchdown catch. Ashton Lapointe posted seven tackles, three fumble recoveries and two sacks on defense.
