PLANKINTON — Class A No. 3 Wagner swept Mount Vernon/Plankinton in Tuesday high school volleyball action. The set scores were 26-24, 25-22 and 25-16.


Scotland 3, Alcester-Hudson 2

SCOTLAND — Scotland outlasted Alcester-Hudson in a five-set marathon high school volleyball match on Tuesday. The set scores were 25-21, 22-25, 19-25, 25-22 and 15-10.

Scotland’s Martina DeBoer finished with 12 kills and 10 digs. Trinity Bietz finished with nine kills and four digs. Bailey Vitek added seven kills, 10 assists, six digs and two aces. Claire Janish logged 20 assists and seven digs. Grace Robb added six kills, seven aces and three digs. 

Alcester-Hudson’s Emma Moller and Elly Doering finished with 13 kills apiece. Alexis Gray added seven kills and 23 digs. Devin Hongslo added nine kills and three digs. Ella Serck posted 33 assists, 21 digs and four aces. Carly Patrick posted six kills and six digs. 


Corsica-Stickney 3, Freeman Academy/Marion 0

CORSICA — Corsica-Stickney swept Freeman Academy/Marion in straight sets in Tuesday high school volleyball action. The set scores were 25-20, 25-20 and 25-22.

Corsica-Stickney’s Payton DeLange finished with eight kills and 11 digs, while Jacey Kemp finished with five digs and three kills. Sophie DeLange added four kills and two digs. Sutten Eide posted 16 assists and four digs. Cali Vanden Hoek and Ali Wieczorek posted seven and six digs, respectively. 

Freeman Academy/Marion stats were not reported. 


Chester Area 3, McCook Central/Montrose 0

CHESTER — Class B No. 3 Chester Area picked up a three-set win over McCook Central/Montrose on Tuesday. The set scores were 25-16, 25-11 and 25-14.

Chester Area’s Serena Larson finished with nine kills, while Emmerson Eppard logged seven kills. Lily VanHal added five aces, 18 assists and 12 digs. Jacy Wolf posted four aces, 13 assists and 16 digs. Addison Bates finished with three blocks and Ashlynn Bleeker posted two blocks.

MCM’s Tayah McGregor finished with five kills, while Brandy Pulse added three kills and 10 digs. Brianna Even dished out eight assists and Maddy Lauck added four assists. Aubree Kranz finished with 13 digs. Kayla Vander Woude had a block. 


Wolsey-Wessington 3, De Smet 0

WOLSEY — Class B No. 4 Wolsey-Wessington earned a three-set win over De Smet on Tuesday. The set scores were 25-16, 25-6, and 25-15.

Wolsey-Wessington’s Mya Boomsma tallied 10 digs, eight kills, and five aces, while Taylor Horn finished with 19 assists and five aces. Mallory Miller recorded nine kills and five blocks, while Lainey Uttecht had 10 digs. Payton Kemnitz had nine assists and Emree White added five kills.

De Smet’s Jada Burke recorded six kills, while Cori Birkel tallied six blocks and three kills. Emma Albrecht added five assists and two aces.


Platte-Geddes 3, Todd County 0

PLATTE — Platte-Geddes swept Todd County in a Tuesday high school volleyball match. The set scores were 25-8, 25-7 and 25-12.

Cadence VanZee recorded eight kills and two digs. Avery DeVries finished with 20 assists, four aces and two digs. Karly VanDerWerff added six kills and two blocks. Regan Hoffman posted three kills and four digs. Baleigh Nachtigal posted four kills, four aces, three digs and three kills. Emerson Ringling added five kills and two aces. Karsen Sondgeroth added four aces and Natalie Severson posted four digs. Hadley Hanson finished with seven digs and eight aces. 

Todd County stats were not reported. 


Tripp-Delmont/Armour 3, Menno 0

TRIPP — Tripp-Delmont/Armour earned a high school volleyball win over Menno in straight sets on Tuesday. The set scores were 25-19, 25-13, and 25-20.

TDA’s Megan Reiner and Gracey Schatz led with seven kills and six digs apiece, while Schatz added four aces. Mia Reiner tallied six kills and four digs, while Faith Goehring finished with four kills and seven digs. Morgan Gemar logged six digs, four aces, and three kills, while Hannah Stremick added 18 assists and four aces.

Menno’s Allison Lehr, Abby Bender, and Madelyn Kludt each tallied 10 digs, while Bender added five assists. Julia Buechler and Maggie Miller tallied nine and seven digs, respectively. Ashton Massey finished with six kills and Josephine Stokes added four kills.


Hanson 3, Sanborn Central/Woonsocket 0

FORESTBURG — Hanson swept Sanborn Central/Woonsocket in straight sets for a high school volleyball victory on Tuesday. The set scores were 25-12, 25-15, and 26-24.

Hanson’s Annalyse Weber led with 11 kills, eight digs, and three aces. Kylie Haiar tallied 10 kills, while Kate Haiar finished with five blocks and three aces. Jalyn Kampshoff recorded 28 assists, while Jersey Kampshoff and Cadence Jarding added six digs apiece.

SCW’s Kenna Ochsner led with 17 digs, five kills, and five blocks, while Kam Ochsner also had five kills. Kenlie Fridley and Bailey Feistner each added seven assists.


Waubay/Summit 3, Wilmot 2

SUMMIT — Waubay/Summit outlasted Wilmot in a high school volleyball match on Tuesday. The set scores were 28-26, 23-25, 22-25, 25-20, and 16-14.

Waubay/Summit’s Ava Breske tallied seven kills and four assists, while Kylee Marx and Katie Karst each had five kills and five aces. Aubrey Strang had six aces, while Katie Minder and Liza Purdy each had four digs.

Wilmot stats were not reported.


Faulkton Area 3, Sully Buttes 2

FAULKTON — Faulkton Area outlasted Sully Buttes for a high school volleyball win on Tuesday. The set scores were 22-25, 25-20, 25-17, 17-25, and 15-13.

Faulkton Area’s Addison Melius led with 20 kills, while Kelli Stoecker tallied 12 kills and two aces. Gabby Kast totaled 44 assists, while Trisha Cramer and Carley Cotton added 18 and 12 digs, respectively.

Sully Buttes’ Lydia Hill had eight kills, four blocks, and three aces, while Sage Heath added four kills.


Miller 3, Aberdeen Roncalli 1

MILLER — Miller picked up a four-set high school volleyball win over Aberdeen Roncalli on Tuesday. The set scores were 25-17, 23-25, 25-17 and 25-15.

Miller’s Ally Mullaney finished with 12 kills, one ace and one block. Abbi Blake and Jaden Werdel recorded 11 kills apiece, while Blake had two aces. Werdel added 24 digs. Aleah Schlechter finished with six kills. Tyra Gates added 38 assists and 16 digs. Jolie Palmer posted 34 digs and Journey Palmer logged 11 digs. 

Aberdeen Roncalli stats were not reported. 


Mobridge-Pollock 3, Herreid/Selby Area 0

MOBRIDGE — Mobridge-Pollock swept Herreid/Selby Area in straight sets in Tuesday high school volleyball action. The set scores were 25-22, 25-14 and 25-14.

Mobridge-Pollock’s Charley Henderson finished with eight kills, three aces, and two blocks. Emily Hatzenbuehler recorded seven kills and six block assists. Emma Keller posted six kills and 16 assists. Reagan Weisbeck posted 25 digs. Gretchen Olson added three aces. 

HSA’s Pausha Meidinger finished with six kills, while Jordyn Rossow logged four kills and two blocks. Sophia Ritter dished out 14 assists and Stephanie Allbee had 32 digs. Cheyenne Wurtz added two aces. 


Dell Rapids 3, Elk Point-Jefferson 2

DELL RAPIDS — Dell Rapids edged Elk Point-Jefferson in five sets for a high school volleyball win on Tuesday. The set scores were 22-25, 22-25, 25-18, 25-17, and 15-5.

Dell Rapids’ Madelynn Henry led with 16 kills, while Sophi Randall finished with 43 assists, five aces, and three blocks. Clara Justice recorded 10 kills, two aces, adn two blocks, while Lauryn Kloth tallied 10 kills. Alaina Wolff and Lexi Ingalls added 21 and 15 digs, respectively.

Elk Point-Jefferson’s Alyssa Chytka led with 22 digs and four aces, while Danica Torrez tallied six kills and four aces. Josie Curry had six kills, while Hannah Nearman had 12 digs. Natalie Heuertz finished with six blocks and Sophia Giorgio added 28 assists.


Elkton-Lake Benton 3, Castlewood 1

ELKTON — Elkton Lake Benton recorded a four-set high school volleyball win over Castlewood on Tuesday. The set scores were 25-19, 11-25, 25-20 and 25-14.

ELB’s Rachael Krog finished with 18 kills and 25 digs. Tevan Erickson added 41 assists, 16 digs and five block assists. Kailyn Drietz added six kills and five digs. Kylie Ramlo finished with seven kills and 18 digs. Andrea Renkly added eight kills, seven digs and two aces. 

Castlewood’s Maddie Horn recorded 12 kills and nine digs. McKenzie Everson added nine kills, 21 digs and four solo blocks. Kelly Goens finished with five kills and three digs. Lyndsey Archer posted 12 digs. Emerson Carter added five kills and six digs. Kailyn Larson and Gracie Haug finished with 17 and 13 digs, respectively. Haug added 25 assists. 


Colman-Egan 3, Arlington 1

COLMAN — Class B No. 5 Colman-Egan picked up a four-set high school volleyball win over Arlington on Tuesday. The set scores were 25-20, 25-20, 18-25 and 25-23.

Colman-Egan’s Daniela Lee finished with 13 kills, 17 digs and six blocks. Abby Rhode added nine kills and two blocks. Brynlee Landis posted 17 digs, eight kills and three blocks. Berkley Groos finished with 26 digs, while Lanie Mousel logged 19 assists. Ava Mousel finished with 10 assists and 11 digs. 

Arlington’s Tanaya Weiss finished with 26 assists. Natalie Burns added 11 kills and 21 digs. Addalyn Steffensen finished with 10 kills and Harley Johnson added 17 digs. 


Milbank 3, Deuel 0

CLEAR LAKE — Milbank picked up a high school volleyball win over Deuel in straight sets on Tuesday. The set scores were 25-16, 25-16, and 25-22.

Milbank’s Claire Snaza finished with seven kills, while Rachel Schulte tallied six kills and two aces. Hallie Schulte led with 14 digs, while Addisyn Krause recorded nine assists, seven digs, and five aces. Averie Engebretsen added eight assists and five kills.

Deuel’s Annika Kriz had 13 digs, while Josie Anderson tallied five digs, three kills, three aces, and three assists. Emma Hamann had three kills, while Isabel Schake had four digs. Gracie Fieber added three assists and Emma Sattler added three blocks and two aces.


Hamlin 3, Great Plains Lutheran 0

HAYTI — Hamlin swept Great Plains Lutheran in straight sets for a high school volleyball win on Tuesday. The set scores were 25-15, 25-12, and 25-9.

Hamlin’s Ally Abraham finished with 13 kills, while Gracelyn Leiseth and Addie Neuendorf tallied eight kills apiece. Neuendorf also had eight digs. Ava Prouty recorded 17 digs and three aces, while Kami Wadsworth had 30 assists and two blocks.

Great Plains Lutheran stats were not reported.


Sioux Valley 3, Parker 0

PARKER — Sioux Valley swept Parker in straight sets in Tuesday high school volleyball action. The set scores were  25-11, 25-11 and 25-17.

Sioux Valley’s Ashley Bjerke finished with eight kills, while Kaedyn Sapp added six kills and 10 digs. Adison Renkly finished with four kills, two blocks and 12 digs. Sunny Hesby added 11 assists and three assists, while Talya Vincent had 10 digs. 

Parker’s Halle Berens finished with six kills and 34 digs. Terryn Fuller logged four kills, nine assists and 10 digs. Hailey Phillips finished with 16 digs, while Aspen Rand added 17 digs. Jenna Van Velzen had 10 digs. 


Canton 3, Madison 2

MADISON — Canton clipped Madison in a five-set high school volleyball match on Tuesday. The set scores were 22-25, 25-18, 20-25, 25-18 and 15-8.

Canton’s Carlee Laubach finished with 20 kills and 36 digs. Jenna Vande Weerd added 12 kills and three blocks. Fallan Lundstrom added 25 digs, while Landree Meister logged 45 assists. Danica Rozeboom posted five blocks. 

Madison’s Audrey Nelson finished with 21 kills and four blocks. Amanda Vacanti added five kills, 19 assists and 14 digs. Karley Theede and Cadence Zens posted two aces apiece. Reese Wilt added four blocks. 


Florence/Henry 3, Flandreau 0

FLANDREAU — Florence/Henry swept Flandreau in a Tuesday high school volleyball match. The set scores were 25-23, 25-19 and 25-17.

Florence/Henry’s Caylin Kelly finished with 13 kills and seven blocks. Macey Lane added 11 kills and 18 digs. Taylor Watson recorded 18 digs and three aces, while Reese Schmidt dished out 31 assists. Jozie Hyatt had two aces. 

Flandreau’s Claire Sheppard recorded nine kills and three blocks. Lily Klein recorded seven kills and two aces. Abby Schoberl finished with six aces and 19 digs. Sadie Iott and Addy Hammer recorded 23 and 21 digs, respectively. 


Dakota Valley 3, Tri-Valley 0

COLTON — Class A No. 2 Dakota Valley swept Tri-Valley in straight sets for a high school volleyball win on Tuesday. The set scores were 25-10, 25-16, and 25-17.

Claire Munch led with 10 kills and four aces, while Sophie Tuttle tallied 12 digs and three aces. Kate VanRooyan recorded 14 digs and three assists. Logan Miller had 24 assists, while Addie Kleis logged seven kills and five blocks. Jorja Van Den Hulled with six blocks.

Tri-Valley’s Cheyenne Hanson led with 11 digs, while Nevaeh Grann tallied 10 assists. Ava Pearson and Emery Pearson each had three kills. Maddie Wenzel added two aces and two blocks.


Harrisburg 3, Yankton 0

HARRISBURG — Class AA No. 3 Harrisburg swept Yankton in straight sets in a high school volleyball match on Tuesday. The set scores were 25-22, 25-14, and 25-22.

Harrisburg’s Morissen Samuels led with 15 kills, while Karalynn Leach tallied 11 kills. Kaelyn Snoozy recorded 18 digs, while Maggie Meister had 15 digs and one ace. Gabrielle Zachariasen added four aces.

Yankton’s Payton Moser had two aces.


Sioux Falls Jefferson 3, Sioux Falls Lincoln 2

SIOUX FALLS — Class AA No. 4 Sioux Falls Jefferson edged Sioux Falls Lincoln in a five-set high school volleyball match on Tuesday. The set scores were 14-25, 25-20, 25-18, 22-25 and 15-12.

Sioux Falls Jefferson’s Emory Brosnahan posted a team-high 12 kills. Nancy Peter added nine kills and three blocks. Ella Kvernmo finished with eight kills and 10 digs. Presly Pastian logged 23 assists, while Averi Schmitt finished with 18 assists, 12 digs and two aces. Maddie Paulsen had four blocks. Cora Hokenstad logged 25 digs. Kendall Kniffen posted two aces.
