Parkston 14, Dell Rapids 4 (5 innings)

SALEM — Parkston erupted for 14 runs over the final two innings to eliminate Dell Rapids from the State B Legion tournament Monday.

Luke Bormann batted 2-for-4 with a double and a homer driving in three runs, James Deckert had three hits, a double, a walk, and two RBIs, Drew Braley drove in three runs on a hit, Brayden Jervik had two doubles and an RBI, Kolter Kramer had an RBI-single, while Brody Boettcher and Maddux Brissette combined for three RBIs on three walks.

Carter Sommer earned the victory on the mound allowing four runs on six hits and a walk across five innings pitched, striking out eight batters.

For Dell Rapids, Quinn Carr took the loss allowing five runs on a hit and four walks in three innings, striking out three.

Cole Ruesink had an RBI-single, Will Zwach drove in a run on a walk, while Tad Tjaden, Treyse Eastman, Drake Eastman, CJ Smith, and Sutton Williams each had hits in the loss.

Parkston will play Elk Point/Jefferson Tuesday at 1 p.m. in the State B Legion Championship.



Elk Point/Jefferson 16, Lake Norden/Badger 11

SALEM — Ethan Bovill collected four hits and three RBIs as Elk Point/Jefferson advanced to the State B Legion championship Monday.

Bovill batted 4-for-4 with a walk, triple, and three RBIs, Ashton Fairbanks batted 2-for-4 with a double and three RBIs, Ty Trometer and Jace Shatswell each drove in a two runs on a walk and a double, Keaton Gale tallied an RBI on two hits, a double, and a walk, while Brody Van Roekel tallied a hit and two walks in the win.

Trometer earned the victory on the mound allowing three runs on seven hits and two walks in 3.1 innings.

For Lake Norden/Badger, Dawson Noem allowed 10 runs on seven hits and two walks in 3.2 innings, striking out six.

George Jensen tallied three hits, a double, and a grand slam, Lane Tvedt batted 3-for-4 with two doubles and two RBIs, Tyson Stevenson batted 2-for-3 with a walk and an RBI, Cristhian Rodriguez drove in a run on one hit, while Noem and Rylan Thue each tallied two hits in the loss.

EPJ will face Parkston in Tuesday’s State B Legion Championship game at 1 p.m.
