BROOKINGS — Brandon Valley won the girls team and individual awards at the ESD Cross Country Meet on Saturday.

Brandon Valley won the girls team title with a score of 32, ahead of Harrisburg (48) and Watertown (82). Pierre (116) and Aberdeen Central (125) rounded out the top-five.

Individually, Brandon Valley’s Addison Scholten won the title with a time of 18:56.94. Harrisburg’s Presli White (19:36.83) and Addison Reilly (19:44.98) finished second and third, 

while Brandon Valley’s Sarah VanDeBerg (20:04.32) and Harrisburg’s Bria Miller (20:09.60) rounded out the top-five.

On the boys side, Yankton won the team title with a score of 60, followed by Brandon Valley (76) and Aberdeen Central (88). Harrisburg (104) and Pierre (108) rounded out the top-five.

Individually, Harrisburg’s Cashton Johnson won with a time of 16:01.73. Pierre’s Jared Lutmer (16:20.44) placed second, while Yankton’s Dylan Payer (16:43.46) finished in third. Brandon Valley’s Mikah Peters (16:51.18) and Watertown’s Ty Sullivan (16:53.86) placed fourth and fifth, respectively.
