Britton-Hecla's BoDell Davidson named Eastern Coteau Conference offensive MVP

The 2022 all-Eastern Coteau Conference teams for both the 11-man and nine-man divisions have been released. The conference also announced its offensive MVP, defensive MVP and coach of the years for both divisions.

Britton-Hecla’s BoDell Davidson is the nine-man offensive MVP, while Florence-Henry’s Mehki Keller is the nine-man defensive MVP. Britton-Hecla’s Jacob Skogstad is the nine-man coach of the year. 

In the 11-man division, Deuel’s Owen Quail was selected as the offensive MVP. Deuel’s Ronnie Begalka and Webster Area’s Brent Bearman were co-defensive MVP selections. Deuel’s Dustin Hourigan is the 11-man coach of the year. 

Florence-Henry, which finished 3-0 in the nine-man standings, landed six total players on the all-conference team. Keller, Teagan Sumner, Clay Trupe and Karter Kohlenberg were all-conference selections for the Falcons, while Tristyn Sumner and Samuel Blue were honorable mention honorees. 

Davidson, Collin Beaner and Elijah Jensen were all-conference selections for Britton-Hecla. Gage Storley and William Schuller were honorable mention honorees. 

Great Plains Lutheran’s R.J. Perry and Myles York were all-conference selections, while Joseph Dahlberg was selected to the honorable mention team. Waverly-South Shore’s Cody Thompson was an all-conference selection and Troy Kneeland was selected to the honorable mention team.

Deuel, which finished 3-0 in the 11-man standings, landed seven total players on the all-conference squad. Quail, Carver Nothem, Trey Maaland, Robbie Begalka and Ronnie Begalka were selected to the all-conference team for the Cardinals. Deuel’s Dominic Constant and Tate Kenyon were honorable mention selections. 

Clark/Willow Lake’s Trey Huber, Turner Fjelland, Cole Heiman and Mitchell Larson were all-conference honorees. Elliot Bratland and Griffin Musser were selected to the honorable mention team for the Cyclones. 

Bearman, Carson Mount and Ethan Opitz were selected for Webster Area. Gavin Sannes was an honorable mention selection for the Bearcats. Dakota Hills’ Dylan Rumpza and Brooks Dolan were all-conference honorees, while Caleb Miller was an honorable mention honoree for the Grizzlies.
