Nebraska defensive tackle and Chamberlain High School graduate Nash Hutmacher has accepted an invitation to the East-West Shrine Bowl, the game announced Tuesday.

Hutmacher has been one of Nebraska's top defenders the past two seasons and started every game this season, making 24 tackles, 4.0 tackles for loss, 2.0 sacks and one forced fumble.

The 6-foot-4, 310-pounder has appeared in 48 games, making 26 starts in his five years on the field in Lincoln.

Hutmacher is the second Husker defensive lineman to earn and accept an invitation to a postseason showcase event, as Ty Robinson will play in the Senior Bowl.

The East-West Shrine Game will be held Jan. 30 in Arlington, Texas, and will be broadcast live on the NFL Network. The East–West Shrine Bowl is a postseason college football all-star game that has been played annually since 1925.
