West Central 62, Wagner 54

BROOKINGS — West Central held off Wagner to cap off a third place finish at the 2022 Class A tournament in Brookings on Saturday.

The Trojans were led by Addy Kramer with 20 points and nine rebounds, while Rylee Haldeman recorded 16 points. Tabor Teel tallied 11 points and 11 rebounds, while Cambell Fischer finished with seven points. Josslin Jarding added six points and four assists.

Wagner was led by Macy Koupal with 20 points and 12 rebounds, while Emma Yost recorded 13 points, 14 rebounds, and four assists.  Shalayne Nagel tallied eight points and five boards, while Lydia Yost added six points and five rebounds.


Red Cloud 62, Dakota Valley 43

BROOKINGS — Red Cloud raced past Dakota Valley to earn fifth place in the consolation championship at the 2022 Class A tournament in Brookings on Saturday.

The Lady Crusaders were led by Stevi Fallis with 24 points and four assists, while Sharissa Haas recorded 12 points. Jordan Derby scored eight points and six rebounds, while Allison Richards totaled seven points, five rebounds, and five assists.

Dakota Valley was led by Rylee Rosenquist with 20 points, 12 rebounds, and four assists, while Peyton Tritz tallied 13 points and six rebounds. Grace Bass added four points, eight rebounds, and three assists.


Sioux Falls Christian 62, Lakota Tech 58

BROOKINGS — Sioux Falls Christian held off Lakota Tech to earn seventh place at the 2022 Class A tournament in Brookings on Saturday.

The Chargers were led by Kylah vanDonkersgoed with 22 points, six rebounds, and four assists, while Ellie Lems tallied 15 points. Maya Nelson recorded 11 points, while Moriah Harrison added six points and 10 rebounds.

Lakota Tech was led by Shayla Bravo with 16 points, while Tobi Carlow tallied 14 points. Moriah Morisette recorded seven points and five rebounds, while Melina Shangreaux and Tawny Rodriguez each added six points. Rodriguez also grabbed six rebounds.
