Colman-Egan girls, Freeman boys capture titles at Danielsen Relays

SALEM — Colman-Egan girls and Freeman boys captured team titles at Tuesday’s Danielsen Relays. 

The Colman-Egan girls finished with 84 points, followed by St. Mary’s (80) and Freeman (59). The Freeman boys totaled 77 points, followed by Gregory (70) and St. Mary’s (66).

On the girls side, Colman-Egan captured first-place finishes in four total relays. Colman-Egan’s Finley Luze, Michoen Williamson, Brynlee Landis and Crystal Silva-Dominguez won the 400-meter relay (:51.95). Silva-Dominguez, Caelee LeBrun, Landis and Jolie Flatten won the 800-meter relay (1:49.91). Luze, Silva-Dominguez, Landis and Flatten won the 1,600-meter relay (4:13.69). Luze, Silva-Dominguez, Flatten and Landis won the sprint medley relay (4:28.38). 

Williamson won the shot put (38-1.5). Quinn Meyer won the high jump (5-3) for Colman-Egan. 

Parker/Marion’s Braelyn Berens won the 100-meter dash (:12.53), 200-meter dash (:25.86) and 400-meter dash (1:01.86). 

Mitchell’s Christian’s Laura Nemec won the 3,200-meter run (12:39.50) and placed second in the 1,600-meter run (5:46.26). 

McCook Central/Montrose’s Mandi Schock won the triple jump (33-5) and placed second in the long jump (15-9.5). 

Baltic’s Alexis Kehn captured first place in the 800-meter run (2:27.01). Sanborn Central/Woonsocket’s Emrie VonEye won the 1,600-meter run (5:45.70). 

Tri-Valley’s Emry Jones won the 100-meter hurdles (:16.42).

Gregory’s Asia VanDerWerff won the 300-meter hurdles (:49.15). Gregory’s Dani VanDerWerff won the javelin (129-2). 

Howard’s Anna Becker, Dakota Spader, Ann Connor and Brooklyn Becker won the 3,200-meter relay (10:47.71). 

St. Mary’s Maddyn LeBrun won the discus throw (117-7). Layla Hanson won the long jump (16-1) for St. Mary’s. 

On the boys side, Freeman’s David Walter, Braydan Mangel, Brody Sorensen and Luke Miller won the sprint medley relay (3:50.89). Freeman’s Alaric Knittel won the javelin throw (147-3). 

St. Mary’s Logan Bauer won the 100-meter dash (:11.57) and 400-meter dash (:52.13). 

Thomas LaVoy, Lincoln LeBrun, Jake Heinitz and Pano Skliris won the 800-meter relay (1:34.40) for St. Mary’s. Gavin Pica won the discus for St. Mary’s with a toss of 139-7. 

Mitchell Christian’s Luke Mentele won the 1,600-meter run (4:39.16) and teammate Silas Holdeman won the 3,200-meter run (10:05.25). Mentele, Sawyer Holdeman, Brady Asbenson and Silas Holdeman won the 3,200-meter relay (8:36.55). 

Tri-Valley’s Ty Oyen won the 110-meter hurdles (:15.15) and 300-meter hurdles (:41.48). Oyen, Corven Jensen, Owen Effling and Brody Dybvig won the 400-meter relay (:44.11). 

Stetson Riggs, Jason Porth, Brody Mentele and Cole Dewald won the 1,600-meter relay (3:44.50) for Hanson. Porth added a first-place finish in the long jump (20-8). 

Baltic’s Dylan Runestad won the 200-meter dash (:23.40).

Bridgewater-Emery’s Holden Wollmann won the 800-meter run (2:01.33).

Chester’s JD Prorok won the shot put (48-11.5). 

Gregory’s Colt Keiser won the high jump (6-3). 

Mount Vernon/Plankinton’s Riley Mayer won the triple jump (39-10).
