The Sioux Falls Christian girls track and field team is gunning for its fourth consecutive Class A championship this spring, while the Charger boys are chasing their sixth-consecutive state championship.

The Charger girls are trying to become the first four-peat champion since St. Thomas More won five straight from 2015-19.

Sioux Falls Christian scored 162 points last season, finishing well ahead of second-place Custer (90) and third-place Lennox (85).

The Chargers will again be among the title contenders, with Ellie Maddox, Jerica Glasser and Halle Braun all returning after winning individual state championships.

The Charger boys are looking to become the first boys team in the three-class system to win six-straight state championships since Rapid City Stevens in the mid-1980s.

SFC clipped Lennox last season for its fifth consecutive championship scoring 95.5 points, ahead of its Dak-XII foe in second place (86).
