Dakota Valley 3, Wagner 0

RAPID CITY — Dakota Valley swept Wagner in Class A first-round volleyball action on Thursday. The set scores were 25-8, 25-11 and 25-18. 

Dakota Valley’s Claire Munch had 14 kills, seven digs and five aces, Samantha Kimbell added nine kills, 11 digs and six aces, Madie Munch dished out 29 assists with five digs, Coryn Kimbell had 15 digs while Aubree Worden totaled seven digs and four kills in the win.

Wagner’s Hannah Holzbauer had six kills and seven digs, Ravyn Medricky collected four kills and seven digs, while Braxton Nedved had 15 assists with five digs in the loss.

Hamlin 3, Clark/Willow Lake 1

RAPID CITY — Hamlin outlasted Clark/Willow Lake in Class A first-round state volleyball action Thursday. The set scores were 23-25, 25-19, 25-12 and 25-21.

Hamlin’s Addie Steffensen tallied 40 assists, 15 digs and four kills, Addie Neuendorf collected 16 digs and 12 kills, Addelyn Jensen had 15 kills, five digs and three blocks, Jade Thue added 11 kills and two digs. Jayci Trowbridge had 18 digs while Paige Stormo netted 12 digs in the win as well.

For CWL, Shelby Begeman tallied 14 kills, 11 digs and four blocks, Ella Sass had 11 kills, four digs and five blocks, Zoe Nichols dished out 20 assists while Kelsey Hofer had 21 digs and nine kills in the loss.

Dell Rapids 3, Rapid City Christian 0 

RAPID CITY — Dell Rapids swept Rapid City Christian in Class A state volleyball action on Thursday. The set scores were 25-20, 25-19 and 26-24.

Dell Rapids’ Madelynn Henry racked up 21 of the team’s 43 kills. Sylea Sykes recorded six kills and nine digs for the Quarriers. Tenley Anderson dished out 32 assists and added seven digs. Elin Schoenhard posted four blocks. 

Rapid City Christian’s Chloe Weber finished with nine kills and four digs. May Callaghan added 10 digs and Faith King recorded 14 assists. King added three blocks.
