Watertown 3, Sioux Falls Lincoln 2 

RAPID CITY — Watertown outlasted Sioux Falls Lincoln in a five-set match during Thursday’s Class AA state volleyball action. The set scores were 25-21, 25-21, 12-25, 25-27 and 15-12. 

Watertown’s Anna Hirtz totaled 16 kills, while Siri Bach posted 11 kills and five digs. Carighan Klatt added11 kills and two blocks. Reese Munger posted 10 kills, and five blocks. Kynsee Russell totaled 48 assists and six digs. Andi Olson recorded 18 digs. Ellie Thury posted 11 digs and Jordan Remmers posted 10 digs. 

For Lincoln, Camila Langenfeld posted 13 kills and seven digs. Hannah Baron totaled 13 kills and nine digs. Mallory Schneider recorded 41 assists, 10 kills and six digs. Julia Blom posted 18 digs. Evlynn Carney recorded six blocks. 

Brandon Valley 3, Sioux Falls Washington 0

RAPID CITY — Brandon Valley swept Sioux Falls Washington in Thursday’s Class AA state volleyball action. The set scores were 25-20, 25-15 and 25-17.

BV’s Abby Gruber totaled 12 kills and four digs. Jersie Melcher added eight kills and nine digs. Jayaunna Stroh added seven kills. Logan McGuire posted 27 assists and 16 digs. Mya VanWesten recorded 16 digs. 

For Washington, Chloe Peterson recorded 11 kills. Jade Jere finished with nine kills and eight digs. Emily Akkerman notched 25 assists and seven digs. Dana Harpe added 19 digs and six kills. Hannah Nesdahl recorded 16 digs. 

Harrisburg 3, Mitchell 0

RAPID CITY — Harrisburg swept Mitchell in Class AA first-round volleyball action on Thursday. The set scores were 25-8, 25-9 and 25-18. 

Harrisburg’s Gabi Zachariasen had 19 kills, seven digs and four aces in the win, Bergen Stiff added seven kills, Julia Masselink recorded four kills, Lindsay Langner tallied nine digs and three aces, while Josalyn Samuels dished out 30 assists and four digs in the in as well.

For Mitchell, Audrey Miller had five kills, Addie Siemsen tallied eight assists, four kills and three digs, Kenna Soulek dished out five digs and four assists while Kenzie Hetland had three kills in the loss.
