Class AA boys basketball all-stars sweep Class B, Class A at 3-Class Shootout

SALEM — The Class AA boys basketball all-stars won both games at Saturday’s 3-Class Shootout. 

Class AA defeated Class A in the first game, 127-110. Class AA defeated Class B in the second game, 124-117. 

In the first game, Lincoln’s Sam Ericsson recorded 24 points and Roosevelt’s Justin Bilal scored 22 points. Mitchell’s Colton Smith and Lincoln’s Sam DeGroot (Class AA MVP) scored 15 points apiece. Spearfish’s Kamren Davis scored 14 points. Brandon Valley’s Ayuel Deng and Harrisburg’s Crayton Jibben scored nine points apiece. Roosevelt’s Memphis Bylander had eight points and six boards. Huron’s Blake Ellwein totaled seven points. Deng won the dunk contest in between the boys games. 

For Class A, Vermillion’s Trey Hanson (Class A MVP) totaled 32 points, eight rebounds and four assists. Lennox’s Tate Gerdes had 20 points and eight boards. Groton’s Keegen Tracy had 16 points and nine rebounds. Lennox’s Teegan Musser had 13 points, five rebounds and five assists. West Central’s Will Kuhl and Miller’s Isaak Hunter scored 11 points apiece. 

In the second game, DeGroot recorded 32 points, 12 rebounds and six assists. Bilal had 17 points. Deng and Jibben scored 14 points apiece. Smith had 13 points and six boards. Bylander and Ericsson totaled 12 points apiece. Davis scored 10 points. 

For Class B, Bridgewater-Emery’s Holden Wollmann (Class B MVP) finished with 20 points and six assists. Viborg-Hurley’s Brady Schroedermeier recorded 19 points, seven rebounds and five assists. Freeman’s Tate Sorensen had 15 points and seven rebounds. Bridgewater-Emery’s Ben Weber and Wall’s Emmet Dinger scored 14 points apiece. De Smet’s Grant Wilkinson had eight points and seven rebounds.
