Class AA girls basketball all-stars sweep Class A, Class B at 3-Class Shootout

SALEM — The Class AA all-stars won both games at Saturday’s 3-Class Shootout. 

Class AA defeated Class A in the first game, 100-92. Class AA defeated Class B in the second game, 103-72. 

In the first game, Washington’s Dana Harpe finished with 23 points and 11 rebounds for Class AA. Brandon Valley’s Alyvia Padgett (Class AA MVP) added 20 points, seven rebounds and six assists. Rapid City Stevens’ Hayden Thorton totaled 13 points and three rebounds. O’Gorman’s Sadie Mehrman had 12 points, five rebounds and four assists. Ava Kellenberger added 11 points, six rebounds and three assists. Mitchell’s Addie Siemsen scored nine points and grabbed five boards. Washington’s Rylan Kennett had seven points and five rebounds.

Mahpiya Luta’s Ashlan Carlow-Blount was named the Class A MVP. She finished with 26 points, eight assists and seven rebounds. Lennox’s Andie Peters totaled 17 points, nine rebounds and three assists. Sioux Falls Christian’s Ruth Dvoracek had 12 points and five rebounds. Sioux Falls Christian’s Aubrie VanBeek had 10 points and six rebounds. Beresford’s Ella Merriman and Mobridge-Pollock’s Blake Thompson scored eight points apiece. Sioux Valley’s Talya Vincent had six points. Sioux Valley’s Amari Ward scored five points and grabbed four boards. 

In the second game, Mehrman finished with 17 points and six assists. Padgett added 14 points and four rebounds. Spearfish’s Kate Scharf had 13 points. Kellenberger totaled 12 points and three assists. O’Gorman’s Sydney Terveen and Siemsen scored 11 points apiece. Kennett had 10 points and 10 boards. Huron’s Hylton Heinz, Stevens’ Hayden Thorton and Harpe scored five points apiece.

De Smet’s Hazel Luethmers (Class B MVP) finished with 20 points and eight boards. Sanborn Central/Woonsocket’s Liz Boschee totaled 13 points and nine boards. Iroquois/Lake Preston’s Hadlee Holt recorded 12 points and nine boards. Corsica/Stickney’s Sophie DeLange had 11 points and three boards. Viborg-Hurley’s Tatum Lyons scored nine points and had six boards.
