Sioux Falls Jefferson 46, Brandon Valley 42

RAPID CITY — Sioux Falls Jefferson capped off their historic first season with a win Saturday and a third place finish at the Class AA state tournament in Rapid City. 

Cierra Watkins had a tremendous tournament and led the Cavaliers Saturday with 15 points. Nancy Peters hit 7 of 9 shots, finishing with 14 points and seven rebounds. Jaidyn Dunn added nine points and seven rebounds for the Cavaliers. 

Hilary Behrens led Brandon Valley with 13 points while also grabbing six rebounds. Kylie Foss added ten points and 11 rebounds as Brandon Valley claimed a fourth place finish in the 2022 Class AA state tournament. 

Sioux Falls Washington 49, Harrisburg 37

RAPID CITY — After dropping their opener at the Class AA tournament the Sioux Falls Washington girls bounced back to claim fifth place at the 2022 tournament in Rapid City. 

Ndjakalenga Mwenentanda posted a double-double Saturday with 15 points and 12 rebounds. Taylor Thompson and Hannah Harpe each scored seven points for the Warriors with Alexus Motley adding six points. 

Harrisburg’s Emilee Boyer continued her strong play Saturday scoring ten points and grabbing eight rebounds. Jaylee Hofer and Abigail Flanigan each scored five points as the Tigers finished sixth in the 2022 Class AA girls state tournament. 

Rapid City Central 48, Sioux Falls Lincoln 39

RAPID CITY — Rapid City Central had double-figure scoring from two seniors as the Cobblers earned a seventh place finish at the 2022 Class AA tournament in Rapid City. 

Josie Hill capped her career with 15 points, 11 rebounds and two assists. Sadie Glade knocked won a pair of 3-pointers on her way to a 12 point, four rebound night. 

Sioux Falls Lincoln takes home eighth place from the 2022 AA state tournament. Alaina Sorensen finished with a game high 17 points. Alicen Honner finished with seven points and five rebounds.
