ABERDEEN — Kolt Koepsell and Luke Koepsell combined for 37 points and 18 rebounds to power Howard to a Class B boys basketball win on Thursday.

Kolt Koepsell finished with 20 points, 14 rebounds and five blocked shots. Luke Koepsell added 17 points and four rebounds. Carson Hinker logged nine points and four rebounds.

Wessington Springs’ Parker Graff had 14 points. Ryder Michalek had 10 points and seven rebounds. Brock Krueger had six points. 

Castlewood 72, Leola-Frederick Area 67 

ABERDEEN — Three players scored in double figures as Castlewood clipped Leola-Frederick Area for a Class B boys basketball win on Thursday.

Castlewood’s Bryon Laue logged 25 points, 11 rebounds and four blocked shots. Jamison Keszler posted 20 points, six rebounds and four assists. Luke Baumberger added 12 points. Lane Tvedt had six points, four rebounds and four assists. Brody Bass had five points.

For Leola-Frederick Area, Brayden Sumption recorded 23 points and six rebounds. Noah Kippley logged 15 points and seven rebounds. Winston Clark scored Gavin Nickelson posted seven points.
