Wall 58, Lyman 55

ABERDEEN — Emmet Dinger and Teelan Kjerstad powered Wall to a third-place finish at the Class B boys basketball tournament on Saturday at Wachs Arena. 

Dinger and Kjerstad scored 16 points apiece. Dinger added eight rebounds and four 3-pointers. Trevor Schulz had eight points and eight boards. Dawson Handcock had seven points and 12 boards. Jace Mohr scored six points. 

For Lyman, MJ Diehm totaled 22 points. Dawsen Volmer had 20 points and seven rebounds. Cole Kieffer totaled eight points and six rebounds. 


De Smet 56, Aberdeen Christian 45

ABERDEEN — Three players scored in double figures to power De Smet to third place at the Class B boys basketball tournament on Saturday at Wachs Arena. 

De Smet’s Slayten Wilkinson finished with 18 points and eight rebounds. Noah Leuthmers added 11 points and six boards. Carter Wilkinson recorded 10 points and six boards. Grant Wilkinson totaled nine points and 13 boards. Kolby Sinclair had six points and three rebounds.

For Aberdeen Christian, Brooks Jett finished with 19 points and 15 rebounds. Luke Kaiser had 18 points and 11 boards. Dylan Hofer had six points and five rebounds. 


Viborg-Hurley 72, Sully Buttes 53

ABERDEEN — Jake Austin and Brady Schroedermeier powered Viborg-Hurley to a seventh-place finish at the Class B boys basketball tournament on Saturday at Wachs Arena. 

Austin totaled 25 points and three rebounds. Schroedermeier added 25 points, 14 boards and four assists. Braydyn Morrison had eight points, while Brenner Gerdes had six points and eight boards.

For Sully Buttes, Easton Moore tallied 23 points, six rebounds and four rebounds. Wesley Wittler added 16 points and six boards. Jett Yackley had five points.
