Centerville 59, Warner 50

RAPID CITY — Centerville clipped Warner on Thursday for a Class B girls basketball tournament win.

Centerville’s Althea Gust logged 25 points on 9 of 16 shooting from the field. Emma Marshall added 14 points and six rebounds. Izzie Eide posted 14 points and five rebounds. 

For Warner, Sophia Hoeft had 13 points. Kyra Marcuson and Lauren Marcuson scored nine points apiece. Kyleigh Schopp scored eight points, while Jordyn Jensen had five points. 


Arlington 51, James Valley Christian 41

RAPID CITY — Harley Johnson and Jaelyn Huntimer combined for 33 points as Arlington defeated James Valley Christian Thursday at the Class B state tournament.

Johnson led the way with 18 points, seven rebounds and an assist. Jaelyn Huntimer added 15 points, five rebounds, four assists and three steals. Addalyn Steffensen added eight points and Jolyssa Steffensen chipped in with six points. 

Kaylie Robinson led James Valley Christian with 14 points, eight rebounds and two steals. Alexa Goertz added 10 points and four rebounds while Addyson Knight grabbed eight rebounds.
