Arlington 69, Gayville-Volin 57

MADISON — Three players scored in double figures as Arlington clipped Gayville-Volin to earn a berth in next week’s Class B state tournament. 

Jaelyn Huntimer powered Arlington with 23 points, three rebounds, three assists and two steals. 

Addalyn Steffensen notched 16 points and four rebounds. Harley Johnson added 14 points and five rebounds. 

Taylor Hoxeng led Gayville-Volin with 23 points and three rebounds. Maia Achen had 18 points and seven rebounds for Gayville-Volin. 


Lyman 63, Kadoka Area 48

MURDO — A huge night from Max Scott propelled Lyman into the Class B state tournament with a win over Kadoka in girls SoDak 16 action Thursday night.

Scott poured in a school record 40 points to go along with eight rebounds, two assists and three steals. Skyler Volmer finished with seven points, 12 rebounds, five assists and two steals. Brooke Palmer added seven points and three rebounds. 

Stats for Kadoka Area were not reported. 

 

Wall 75, Colman-Egan 44

FORT PIERRE — Wall pulled away from Colman-Egan for a SoDak 16 girls basketball win on Thursday.

Wall’s Alexis Stephan finished with 17 points and hit five 3-pointers. Rhea Tucker and Paige Kjerstad scored 15 points apiece. Bailey Cerney had 14 points and three 3-pointers. Nora Dinger scored five points.

Colman-Egan’s Kaylee Voelker logged 16 points, while Lanie Mousel scored 11 points. Brynlee Landis added 10 points.


Harding County 58, Northwestern 25

TIMBER LAKE — A pesky Harding County defense forced 34 turnovers as the Ranchers ran past Northwestern to clinch a spot in the Class B state tournament. 

Claire Verhulst led with 13 points, two assists and six steals. Bailey Verhulst added 13 points, two assists and six turnovers. Macey Wendt contributed nine points while Kaylen Padden and Jaelyn Wendt each had five points. 

Ana Ratigan led Northwestern with 10 points and five rebounds. Breelyn Satter, Ella Boekelheide, and Mikaela Schmitt each had four points for Northwestern. 


Warner 61, Herreid/Selby Area 47

IPSWICH — Three players scored in double-figures as Warner punched their ticket to next week’s Class B state tournament with a win over Herreid/Selby Area Thursday night. 

Lauren Marcuson led Warner with 20 points, three rebounds, three assists and three steals. Kyra Marcuson added 15 points and three assists. Ava Nilsson chipped in with 12 points, three rebounds, three assists and three steals. 

Taryn Hettick led Herreid/Selby Area with 12 points and five rebounds. Stephanie Allbee had 11 points while Jordyn Rossow scored 10 points and grabbed four rebounds.
