Gregory 62, Dell Rapids St. Mary 46

MITCHELL — Gregory pulled away from Dell Rapids St. Mary for a SoDak 16 boys basketball win on Tuesday. The Gorillas will play in the Class B boys basketball tournament on March 14-16 in Aberdeen. 

Gregory's Cruz Klundt tossed in 23 points, while Daniel Mitchell added 18 points. Colt Keiser scored 14 points. 

For Dell Rapids St. Mary, Trevon Beckman scored 16 points. Maverick LeBrun tallied 12 points and Trimmier Hanson had nine pionts. Nic Gaspar posted six points. 

Howard 45, Philip 28

CHAMBERLAIN — A balanced  scoring effort helped Howard pick up a win over Philip in a low scoring Class B SoDak 16 game Tuesday. 

Kolt Koepsell led Howard with 10 points. Logan Mentele added nine points for the Tigers. Colby Claussen, Taiden Hoyer and Luke Koepsell each added eight points for Howard.

Lane Kuchenbecker, Layton Terkildsen and Kade Fitzgerald each scored seven points to lead Philip. Bryce Westby finished with three points and Talan Haynes and Tyan Schofield each added two points for the Scotties. 

White River 65, Highmore-Harrold 47

FORT PIERRE — White River secured its 19th straight Class B boys basketball berth on Tuesday in SoDak 16 action.

White River’s Nic Marshall finished with 28 points, while Evastine Wright added 14 points. Jordan Uhlir scored 12 points. Ray Crow had seven points. 

Highmore-Harrold’s Trake Cowan logged 20 points. Aitor Ortega posted eight points, while Carson Stephenson and Brooks McPeak scored six points apiece. 

De Smet 61, Timber Lake 49

MILLER — Three players scored in double figures as De Smet downed Timber Lake in SoDak 16 boys basketball action on Tuesday.

De Smet’s George Jensen logged 16 points, nine rebounds and four blocked shots. Kadyn Fast posted 14 points, six rebounds, four assists and four steals. Trace VanRegenmorter had 11 points and 10 rebounds. Tom Aughenbaugh scored seven points, while Britt Carlson had five points, six rebounds and four assists. 

Timber Lake’s Kyler Bollinger finished with 18 points, seven rebounds and three 3-pointers. Tristan Dupris posted 14 points and nine rebounds. Gracen Hansen added eight points and four rebounds. Aidan Rough Surface scored six points. 

Wessington Springs 54, Waverly-South Shore 35

HURON — Ryder Michalek and Parker Graff combined to score 33 points as Wessington Springs punched their ticket to the Class B state tournament with a win over Waverly-South Shore on Tuesday.

Michalek had 19 points, 12 rebounds, four assists and four steals. Graff added 14 points and six rebounds. Colby Flowers finished with nine points and 12 rebounds and Brock Krueger chipped in with eight points. 

Sam Applehoff led Waverly-South Shore with 11 points and six rebounds. Colton Kranz added eight points and Cody Thompson scored seven points. 

Castlewood 82, Centerville 51

Madison — Four players reached double figures as Castlewood ran past Centerville in boys SoDak 16 action on Tuesday. 

Bryon Laue powered Castlewood with 21 points and 12 rebounds. Lane Tvedt scored 18 points while Luke Baumberger had 14 points, two rebounds and three assists. Jamison Keszler added 11 points and five assists for the Warriors. 

Aiden Bobzin led Centerville with 16 points. Cole Edberg finished with 10 points and six rebounds while Ethan Bobzin chipped in with 10 points.
